SCARLET’S POV
I got into the room and met Lara pacing around anxiously and as soon as she saw me, she stopped and tried to force out a smile.
“Is he in?” she furrowed her brow at me.
“You knew all along?” I asked and narrowed my gaze a little.
She shifted slightly under my gaze, clamped her hand in front, and shifted her gaze to the other end of the room. "I should have known," I said more to myself as a tear found its way out of my flooded eyes.
She snorted and shook her head. She still tried to avoid my eyes. I let the tears flow. In a single day, I have been betrayed by so many people, those I call my own.
“You will never believe me, my luna,” she said.
As soon as the words came out, I felt a bit of chilly air settle in my bone, and I let out a sob and ran to hug her. “I am sorry
