It was the audacity for me though. Is he trying to make me a prisoner here, keep me here against my will?
“I am sorry, Chamlee… but”
He wouldn’t let me finish. “The plague, it is ravaging our land. So many of our people, they are dying” he said.
“And I… have healed them…” I tried to speak but he stopped me yet again.
“No… wait. Our health is in jeopardy. And… our land… it has become barren for years. We don’t know what is happening to us. But you, you have the power. We have seen you use it on our people” he stopped.
“So, I will have to remain here?” I murmured.
“No, we cannot keep you against your will” he replied and looked away.
From his look, it appears that he is prepared to do all it takes to keep me here even if it means forcing me to.
