  Lucien's POV   The car sped through the dark streets, the headlights cutting through the mist. I sat in the back seat, a laptop open on my lap, two phones ringing back and forth, screens filled with static and live feeds. Vincent sat beside me, typing fast on his tablet, his calm expression trying to mask the tension that hung between us.
