Chapter Two

Nicky's Point of View.

I decided to have a lay in, It was Saturday, and normally the night is pretty busy. I'd head down about 6 pm and not come home till way after 5 am. We stayed open later in the Winter, mainly because it means there's somewhere safe and warm for people to be, and by the time we DO close, the public transport is running again and there were more people in the streets, just over all, safer.

But, Christmas in New York is crazy and our daily customer average sky rockets. The City is always full of tourists and, considering the bar was located close to Rockafella Centre, We go ALOT of business.

I groaned and sat up, stretching. I looked out the window, it had snowed again. I didn't hate the snow, but growing up in the North Pole and seeing it all day every day for 18 years, I was sick of it!

'Hey, Hey babe, wake up'. I nudged the sleeping girl next to me. She groaned back and pulled the covers off her. Rolling my eyes, I left her to sleep for a little while longer and headed for a shower to freshen up. She was on the late shift with me tonight, so, I suppose it's only fair.

Pushing my boxes down, I turned the shower on and climbed in. My muscles instantly relaxed when the hot water hit my skin. I was lathering up, washing myself, when i suddenly felt some thin, nailed fingers slide around my waist.

'Good morning Mr. C'. I grinned around turned around to see the very attractive woman stood there, naked.

'Good morning'. I started running my soapy hands all over her body, listening to her moan. 'Turn around'. She did as she was told and I started washing her back, getting lower and lower until my hands were on her ass and then going further still, down the backs of her thighs and legs. Affectionately washing her.

She let out some soft moans and groans as I turned her back around and made my way back up her body.

We continued the shower together, kissing, touching, washing, rubbing, but reluctantly, we had to get out and get ready for work.

'Are you coming over to mine tonight or?' Kimmy asked me as I pulled my jeans up and buckled my belt.

'Um... Not tonight, I think I need some rest'. I didn't want to be a d**k, but in all honesty, I didn't want to lead her on and let her think this was going somewhere... It wasn't. This was just a bit of fun. We never went on dates, it was always ''Wanna come back to mine?'' once we've locked up, that was all.

'Oh, Ok'. She smiled and turned her back on me and continued to dress. I grabbed my t-shirt and left the room.

Flipping the kettle on and grabbing a breakfast bar, I just stared out the window, Completely in my own little world, Watching people playing in the snow, or admiring the Christmas decorations through the streets. I shook my head, Simple things bring so much happiness. Weird.

I made a couple of coffees in some to-go cups and finished my ''breakfast'' while I waited for Kimmy to come out the bed room, This was a usual thing, she was probably doing her hair or make up.

I heard the letterbox go, Signaling I had mail. Probably just junk, but when I looked over, I saw the familiar bright red envelope.

My parents.

I went and picked the pile of letters up and sighed, throwing them down on the side. Deciding not to open it, it was probably just a usual check up letter they set me four times a year, nothing important, I'm sure.

Kimmy came bouncing out of the bed room, Sure enough, hair and make up done. She came over and kissed my cheek and took her coffee. I looked down at letter on the side again and grabbed it, Putting it in my pocket before we both headed out.

'What's that?' She asked, gesturing to the letter. I just shrugged.

'Nothing, Private'. Sensing I wasn't willing to talk about it, She changed the subject and asked what I was going to do this week. Honestly, I had completely tuned out, All I could think about was, I'd had my ''Winter'' Update off my parents... Why would they be contacting me so soon after Christmas?
