Nicky’s point of view
I decided to knock on the door this time instead of just appearing in the apartment, Seemed less.. Rude this way. It only took her a few seconds to answer the door, but when she did, she had the biggest smile on her face. Seeing it, instantly put one on mine too.
‘Hey, I said I’d be back.. Can I come in?’ Her smile widened and she nodded, Stepping to the side.
‘Of course’. I walked in, kissing her sweetly on the lips as I passed. It was already morning, but I couldn’t hear any happy chatter which told me it was likely that Nicholas wasn’t awake yet… and I was right. The presents under the tree were completely untouched. ‘Is he not up yet?’
