The Lost Mate

Chapter 2: New Pack

The drive is long, Iris ends up falling asleep in the car. Soul looks behind him seeing her asleep and sigh loosening up his tie. James looks at him and smirk, "you have been stiff the entire time, are you still surprised that she is your mate." Soul looks behind him again to see her slowly sliding to the side to be laying on the seat next to her, then he looks at James. "For six years I have not found a mate until now, and the fact she was an omega of her pack and her father is the alpha" Soul shook his head sighing, "how he treated her was horrible even in front of me." He growls softly, James kept looking at the road as it got darker. "What are you going to do with her since there is another female waiting for you." Soul shook his head, "she was just a one-night stand," James smirks, "more like a month stand," Soul pulls back the erg f to punch James in the shoulder, "she thought she was going to be the new Luna," stats James. Soul let out another sigh glancing at Iris. "Well she is not, I don't know why she is still here," Soul rubs his face groaning from stress, not knowing what he is going to do with the female and Iris.

-Iris's Point Of View-

I woke up to a bang, startle I look around to see the Alpha and Beta getting out of the car, I was about to get out myself until the car door opens and was scoop up bridal style by the Alpha, feeling my face start to burn I look at the snow as he starts to carry me. 

"You're really light, did your pack even feed you," stats the Alpha holding me as I start to shiver from the snow, I didn't say anything. 

Slowly looking up I saw him caring me to the mansion that was far larger than my old pack's mansion. Wondering why he was taking me there since in my old pack I use to live out in the stables where they kept tools and armor as well as other various things. 

"You are a quiet one, did they mute you," the deep luring voice pulls me from my thoughts I slowly look up at him. He was so handsome. Clearing my throat I try to get out of his arms but he kept a strong grip on me. "Don't move," he growls softly at me. 

Once we were inside it was so warm. A red carpet leading to the stairs as he continues to carry me, taking me up to the second floor. The wolves of his pack bow to him as he walks past. Then all of a sudden a woman stood at the top of the stairs her hands on her hips as she wore a very revealing dress showing her huge boobs and so short you could almost see her woman area, a glare left on her face, and a growl escaping her lips "Who the hell is this Soul!" she snaps at him, Soul shrug it off walking pass her.

She glares at me and raises a hand slapping me out of his arms as I roll down the stairs laying on the floor. Groaning for a second I slowly sat up. 

-Soul's Point Of View-

As I saw Seriena standing at the top of the stairs in her usual slut dress I just ignore her. Man, I really need to get her out of here but the damn b***h won't listen. Once she stats her comment at me I ignore her. Then when I felt my mate leave my arms and watch her roll down the stairs, my eyes widen. Seeing Iris lay on the floor. I look at Seriena and growl my fists clench. "Who the hell do you think you are!" My voice boom shaking the walls. Seriena looks surprised and tried to put a hand on me I slap it away, then rushed to my mate picking her back up. 

-Third Person-

Seriena growls seeing him touch her and run to Iris, she stomps down and slaps Iris away from him again. "I asked who is this slut! I am your mate, not her!" Soul growls again, he knew not to place a hand on a female but she was hurting his mate. "You are not my mate Seriena! This is Iris my mate and soon to be new Luna," all the wolves, except for Seriena, were excited to hear that they will have a Luna. Seriena looks down at Iris growling and storms up the stairs and to her room. Soul lets out a sigh and looks at Iris kneeling down. "Are you okay?" Iris didn't say anything as she looks away.

-Iris's Point of View-

I can't believe that woman, that she did that to me and not even know me. I mean I'm used to it because my family did the same thing to me but worst. I could feel the Alpha picking me up again, I didn't resist I was too tired. He carries me to a room that was huge, it looks like a living room. It has its own kitchen and couch with a big flat-screen TV and then a giant bed that could fit my whole family in. He then carries me to the bathroom which was just as big. The tub looks like a mini pool with a shower over the center of it. He sets me on a chair and I wasn't paying attention until I begin to feel him messing with my maids' outfit. My eyes widen as I hug myself yelping. He looks at me raising an eyebrow. "Are you wanting to bathe by yourself?" I nod, he stood up and sighs.  "I understand I will wait for you and I will have a maid bring you some change of clothes." He left me closing the door. I wait a few minutes before I start undressing myself. I was so used to wearing baggy clothes I forgot what a figure I have. I stare at myself in the mirror for a little bit seeing all the fresh scars I have on my body before I had left. The bandages were red from bleeding. I need to make sure to change those. Looking at my face I see the black eye that covers my left eye.

My sister's always hated how I looked, a beautiful hourglass figure and two colored eyes, the left eye blue and the right eye purple, I pull out my messy bun as my silver-blonde hair fell down to my butt. I turn around to look at the bath as it was full of warm water. I couldn't remember the last time I had a bath let alone a warm one. Slowly stepping in I growl happily as well as my wolf who was waiting for a bath as well. My bandages fell off and floated around I made sure to clean them up and put them on the edge of the bath. The water slowly turning red around me. I sigh as I start to clean myself wincing when I ran over cuts and fresh bruises.

-Soul's Point Of View- 

I was surprised when she told me she wanted to be alone. Then again with what she has gone through I couldn't blame her. I took a shower in the other bathroom. Yes, this bedroom has two bathrooms but this one is a lot smaller. A maid had brought me and my mate some clothes. I was to make sure not to rush her into anything but I don't know how long my wolf can wait. The whole time I was holding her my mate was going crazy inside howling. Especially when Seriena had touched her, I really need to get rid of her but she won't get a hint, stupid b***h. I got out of the shower and got dressed in the bedroom seeing that my mate was still not out. I looked at the time and saw it was 8:30 pm so I continue to wait.

-Few Hours Later--Soul's Point Of View-

Okay, it is now 10:30 pm I am starting to worry about her now. I knock on the door and didn't hear anything, my wolf starts to worry as well. I knock on the door again. "Iris are you okay?" I didn't hear anything. I slam on the door, forcing it to open, to see the bath empty but the water all red and then I look in front of me on the floor was Iris in a pool of blood and her towel red. My eyes widen as I pick her up in the towel being extra careful and try to not look at her naked body that has the towel covering it. I rush out of the room howling. I rush down the stairs and to the emergency room howling for a doctor. The doctor rushes over as they put her on a bed as they start to work on her. I growl and look away as they work on her body. They get to see her naked body and touch her and my wolf wants to rip their heads off, but I held back because they can help her. Once the doctor has the chance he told me some horrible news. "She was bleeding out from all these wounds she has. Her body is also covered in scars. Do you know how this happened?" I was furious I went to see my mate that was asleep on the bed and all bandaged up as well as wearing a hospital nightgown. Seeing her sleep peacefully made my wolf calm down. I left a kiss on her forehead and order the guards to watch the doors as I contact my Beta to meet me in my office.

Waiting in my office for me was my Beta standing at the doors. Man, he is good at being there when I need him. He opens one of the doors for me as I go in, sitting at my desk, opening up my laptop. James sits at the chair in front of my desk watching me. 

"Is there something wrong Alpha?" He asks me with no tone to his voice. I look up at him and sigh slowly closing my laptop. The last time I slammed my laptop shut I broke it badly. 

"As you know Iris is my mate, well soon to be mate once I complete the mating ritual with her. But she is in the hospital right now. Her body is covered in wounds and scars," my wolf howls, James nods at me. 

"What would you like to do about it, sir?" That was the question my wolf wants to go to war with the Red Mind Pack, but that's not enough to do that since she was the omega of her old pack. I let out a sigh. James leans back in his chair. "You thought about going to war with that pack she was in didn't you." James knows me too well, I mean he is my best friend we grew up together since we were pups. I nod my head, James chuckles a little making me growl at him. "It's not enough to do it mostly since she was their omega and her father doesn't care for her..." James nods looking at me.

"I just can't believe that they would do that to her, I mean even if she was the omega I know other packs that treat their omega's better." I stand up pacing back and forth trying to think of a way to handle this. James stands up as well and grabs me by my shoulders taking me out of my thoughts. "You wait for them to make the first move. We can not do anything since other packs see us as protectors." He was right. I nod and sigh patting his shoulder. "Your right.." That still did not satisfy my wolf. I left the office dismissing James to go back to bed. As I go back to the hospital to see her asleep the doctors told me I can take her back to her room. Which I did. I put her in the bed leaving Iris in her hospital nightgown as I grab an extra pillow and blanket sleeping on the huge couch in the bedroom. My wolf whine wanting to sleep with our mate but I didn't want to take the chance of harming her while she was healing. I look over the couch one last time to look at her before I fell asleep.
