The Lost Mate

Chapter 4: Training...

-Iris's Point Of View-

I had the best sleep in my life. I felt all warm and toasty as well as feeling safe and secured. I woke up to these big strong arms around my waist and a chest against my back. Slowly opening my eyes I turn my head to see Soul nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck and his breathing was giving me goosebumps. My wolf howls happily feeling our mate so close to us. My breathing starts to pick up as well as my heart then I could feel his heart beating faster against my back as I start to feel something form and press against my butt. I start to blush heavily. He growls possessively nuzzling into my neck more as he kisses and nips my neck causing me to groan. I could feel him smiling with his lips pressing against my neck. He breathes in my scent and growls more. "It's good to wake up next to my mate," he whispers in my ear as he thrust his hips against mine causing me to let out another groan. 

"Let's skip training today and finish our mating ritual," my eyes widen blushing heavily as I try to sit up but his grip around my waist was strong. "You said I had three months of training... Three months of freedom.." I state making him groan and letting go of my waist. My wolf whimpers wanting to be held and to be honest, I don't want him to let go either. I get out of bed to go take a shower and once I came back after, he is still in bed and the maid brought us breakfast. I ate quickly while he stayed in bed. Then I left to go training. I felt bad leaving him there. I mean its been a few weeks already. Almost a month actually. I've gotten use to being around him and sharing a bed with him. For the first time I actually only slept in one of his big shirts and my boy short panties, while he was only in boxers. I was only comfortable cause each night I was worried he was going to take me in my sleep, but every night if I didn't feel comfortable with him in the bed with me he would go lay on the couch until I fell asleep. One night I actually caught him sneaking into with me after saying he was going to sleep on the couch he's been doing that since day one so he gained my trust and now we share the bed together every night. And I feel like I might mate with him sooner than three months cause it is hard to hold back from such a man but I must stay strong.

"Hey Iris are you doing better today?" asked a voice snapping me out of my thoughts I look up to see Damien looking at me, well at my neck to see if Soul has marked me yet. Damien has been really possessive as well when it comes to Soul like he is waiting for him to screw up so that Damien can take me. Its weird. I nod knowing that he had gotten me pretty good the other day and I had to go to the infirmary Soul was not happy about that he almost stopped me from going to training but I got my way. 

-Third Person Point Of View-

The training started off well with Iris and Damien brawling the other wolves would join in with their partners waiting for their Alpha to come and lead in training. While Iris threw Damien against the wall and kneed him Soul would walk in and watch his mate smirking knowing that she is tough but his wolf would growl seeing that she was touching him and seeing Damien grab her by her waist and tossed her over to be on top of her. Soul growled as he barked catching everyone's attention. "Alright lets start training" he barked and everyone salute him and started training with their partners. Soul would watch Iris and Damien brawl and then would pull a few males to brawl with. Making sure to show off to Damien the power he has. Damien would growl as then he grabbed Iris by the boobs not realizing and squeezed. Iris's eyes widen as she yelped and punched Damien in the face so hard he went flying into the stone wall. Soul would stop and look way happened. Seeing the Iris's top was ripped open showing her boobs that she was covering as best she could and Damien laying on the ground as the nurses tend to him. Soul growled and barked. James rushed over and covered Iris  with a blanket and glared at the other males to not look as their Alpha was right there. One of the female nurses took Iris to the infirmary to get checked out and changed. Soul growled as Damien was taken care of by his own mate but the fact he even touched her. Once training was over and it was break time for everyone to get bandaged up and eat Soul would rush over to the infirmary to check up on Iris. The nurse had told him the Damien left claw marks on her boobs but they were already healing since they told her to go into her wolf form to heal faster. Soul went into the room to see Iris getting dressed. He coughed and looked away as her back was turned to him and she slipped on her tank top. She turned around blushing. Then he would walk into the room closing the door. Sniffing the air he smelled Damien on her and that had his wolf go crazy. 

His eyes went dark, he grabbed Iris by her waist and lifted her on the table he pressed his sweaty body against hers and kissed and nip her neck trying to avoid her mate marking spot his canines slowly coming out. Iris would groan wrapping her arms around him. No matter how many times this happened they never kissed. Soul would wrap his arms around her bringing her closer to him as his bulge would start to form and would press that into her area. She was starting to feel hot and tingly groaning as she bent her head back.

Then he stopped. Iris blinked her eyes confused and looked at him. They were both breathing heavy their body hot and sweaty from this activity and from training. Soul was biting his lip his canines out. Iris was filled with lust her wolf taking control. She moved her head to the side and moved her hair showing her mate marking spot. Soul's eyes widen and he wanted to ask her but his wolf took over as well and he bit down her spot making her scream a little that then turned into a groan. He wanted to mount her now. But he knew he couldn't he was fighting his wolf to stop. But it was too late he had already marked her but he didn't want to go further for her sake. He was worried if this is what she wanted or what her wolf wanted.

A few minutes later he finally got controlled of himself and pulled away seeing her mark healing already. She layed on her back breathing heavily her eyes no longer foggy from lust.

-Iris's Point Of View- 

Holy crap what just happened! My damn wolf took over... I mean I know I wanted this but not this soon. Its only almost a month in... I was given three months... You stupid wolf. My wolf whimpered but I could tell she was wagging her tail. I propped myself up on my elbows looking at Soul, his eyes wide with shock and his bulge throbbing through his pants, blushing softly I bite my lip but before I could say anything he ran out of the room.I got up and wanted to chase after him but my head throbbed, knowing that I had no energy and I need to eat. I hope Soul is okay...

-Soul's Point Of View-

Holy crap I can't believe I just did that to her. Well my wolf did that to her and I know I wanted to so badly but I didn't want to rush her into anything. As I ran out of the infirmary I saw Damien sitting on a bench with some females talking he looked at me growling and and growled back walking up to him and slugging at him. 

"You know what Alpha I can have any female I want. And I want Iris." That pissed me off I hit him again but he just kept talking. "When she comes out there I am going to mark her and claim her as mine in front of you and everyone." He tried to hit me back but i dodge I could tell he is high off of medicine seeing that he had broken ribs from Iris hitting him into the wall. I punched him again as he staggered back and spit up blood. "When I claim her I'm coming for you and take over as Alpha." Now he is threatening for my position. I barked and howl so loud the birds in the trees flew away. 

"You dare try to take my Alpha position!" I demanded my voice making the other wolves bow and step back except for Damien who stumbles to stay on his feet. Then I see Iris out of the corner of my eye, she was worried I could tell with the look on her face and she was holding her chest. The fresh mark on her neck was visible and then Damien saw it. I could tell cause he howled and turned into his wolf form. It was a rusty silver color the scar very visible across his muzzle. 

"SHE WAS MINE TO CLAIM!" He howled in mind link with everyone which was impossible since I was the only to do that. I turned into my wolf form. He was challenging me for alpha and for my mate. I would not dare let him take either from me.

-Third Person Point Of View-

The two wolves stood in the training quarters waiting for one to pounce first. Soul was a lot bigger wolf than Damien. Soul took the first lunge biting Damien in the neck as he bite Soul on the leg and snapping it. Iris gasped and ran but James held her back. "They have to take care of this own their own." The fighting went on for hours as there was blood everywhere. Finally Damien was on the ground with Soul having his paw on his throat growling.In mind link.

"I will spare your life but you must leave this pack and never return!" Damien growled as Soul got off him and he would limp away. Soul turned back to normal with James throwing a blanket over him and the nurses hurrying over to help his wounds. Iris's eyes widen seeing how bad it is she starts to cry. Running away. Turning into her wolf form and running away but not the way Damien went. She ran to the spot her and Soul found where a waterfall looked like it was touching the moon. She ran there crying. She couldn't bare watching her mate fight like that. After a few hours where the full  moon was up she went back to the mansion knowing Soul would be worried and she was hungry. When she made it to her room she looked in the mirror and saw his name tattooed on her rib cage as well his wolf with glowing blue eyes standing out from the black fur. She smiled softly and sighed when she saw her neck seeing that his mark was successful. "Well it's too late to back out now..." She told herself and her wolf who wagged her tail happily. 

Once Iris got dressed James came in with a worry look on his face. Iris ran with her to the hospital where they had Soul on a life line.Iris stood there in shock. The doctors said that in a few hours he can be taken off the life line and be taken back home with nurses on hand if anything happened but for her to go home and rest. She went home but couldn't rest. The maid brought her food but left it there as Iris sat on the couch holding a pillow with a blanket around her. She was worried to death about her mate. 

There was a knock on the door and Iris stood up quickly. The doors open up and bringing Soul in on a rolling bed they softly placed him in the bed with the machines and everything next to him. The nurses and James left them alone but stood outside the door. Iris walked over to the side of the bed and looked at him all beaten up. She then would start to cry holding his hand.

-Soul's Point Of View-

I can hear her crying, I can feel her hand holding mine. The warmth of her hand wants me to wake up but I can't... Iris please wake me up...

-Iris's Point Of View-

I can't loose him not now... After crying for a while I let go of his hand. I go get changed and then get into bed with him. Slowly and carefully laying next to him holding his hand. His chest went up and down slowly showing that he is breath which makes me happy. I look at his beaten up body and then his face more tears coming from my eyes. My wolf whines and howls in saddness. I kiss his cheek as I lay my head next to his slowly falling asleep. Hoping when I wake up he will be awake. 

-Few Months Later--Third Person Point Of View-

Soul still has not woken up since he took down Damien. Iris barely left his side but only when James needed her. Since she told James she will take the role of Luna even though the mating ritual isn't complete the pack needed their Luna. She had training to do to make sure she can take down Damien if he would return and if he brought more rouges with him.The guards have gotten more intense as well as there being a curfew. Warriors were tested for their loyalty to the pack. Only a few had left the pack to join Damien. Surprisingly none of the females had left unless their mates did which only happened once. Iris would return to the bedroom after training and went to the bathroom to clean up. Then all of a sudden a loud bang was heard in the bedroom.

-Iris's Point Of View-

As I was taking a shower I heard a loud bang happen in the bedroom. My eyes widen as I jump out of the shower throw a towel around my body as I burst through the doors to see what that sound was. Scanning the bedroom everything seemed fine until I looked at the bed. Soul wasn't there. My eyes widen and start to panic as I run to the other side of the bed to see Soul on the floor. I slowly kneel down to hear him groaning and slowly pushing himself up. He turned to look at me his blue eyes lost their glow my heart sank. Tears weld up in my eyes as I watched him slowly lift himself up on the bed. I go to help him back up. Once I touched him with incredible speed he held me on top of him. His bare chest pressing against my body that is in a towel. He had lost a lot of his muscles since he has been out for so many months but his grip was still strong as he held me. His breathing was uneven and rapid as he clawed my back. My face barried into the crock of his neck I breathed in his scent as I felt him breathed in mine a soft growl leaving his throat. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I slowly managed to wrapped my arms around him. One of the nurses came in to check up on what had happened causing our moment to end. He slowly let go of me and I got off of him to go get dressed. My wolf whimpered wanting to be near our mate. The nurses came in to get him situated and the maids came in to bring him food and change and bath him. That always upset me making me leave the room because I don't want any females touching my mate. I leave the room because I know the maids are just doing their jobs to help the alpha. I went back in once the maids left. The nurses had put more ivs in him so that he can start getting the nutrients he needs while he also eats. His skin is a lot paler than usual and his hair is super long. He looked dead and that made my heart sank even more. His eyes linked with mine as if telling me to come to him which I did. The maids had left me food as well as James came rushing in through the doors panting to see his best friend and alpha awake now. I listened to them talk about what has happened since Soul has been asleep. Telling him how I took the role of Luna, Soul seemed happy about that. I could feel a erge as he grabbed my wrist wanting to finish the mating rituals. He eyed me and I shook my head telling him with my eyes that he needs to get better first. We have both waited this long, we can wait a few more weeks.

This was something that I did not plan on happening in my life, but could it get any worse now.
