Ethan POV I keep reliving the moment Emma fell into the ocean. Waiting for her to surface felt like forever, though I'm sure it was only seconds. When I jumped in, I'd done so without hesitation. The thought of losing Emma scared me so much. I've never been more afraid of anything. I've been sitting in the dining room waiting for her to join me for breakfast. After ten minutes I couldn't wait any longer. I have to see if she's okay. I burst into the bedroom suite expecting to see her deeply asleep. Instead, I see her sitting up in bed eating a full breakfast. I grin, for a tiny woman she sure can put away a lot of food, even for a werewolf. "I was waiting for you in the dining room," I say. She shrugs, nonchalantly, without even meeting my gaze. "I felt like being alone."
