The Sleepover

Kiara and Miles spent the whole day at Alpha’s house. They both felt a little weird about it. Kie because usually it was her workplace and now she was having fun and ate dinner with her boss. And Miles because he wasn’t that close to Alpha family and out of a sudden he’s there whole day.

Celeste and Rebecca were sitting on a big couch, and Kie with Miles were supposed to go for some snacks and go back to watch a movie.

“I wish I could stay here for tonight” said Kiara. “I don’t think they would mind. To be honest I think you should stay here. Mom is acting crazy” her brother replied.

“That would be abusing their good will. Besides, you can’t go back alone” she shrugged.

“And why is that? She is always easier on me. You know it’s true” said Miles.

It was true. All parents always say that they love their children equally. It was not the case here. When they were younger, Sofia was trying more to hide it, but the time went by and she could no longer do that. She had always some problems with her daughter. They didn’t know why. Kie was pretending that didn’t bother her, and Miles that it’s not like that, but they both knew the truth.

“Ouch” she tried to joke.

Miles rolled his eyes and asked his sister to at least think about it.

“What are you doing there guys? Come on, we want to watch a movieeeeee!” shouted Celeste.

They took chips and two packs of cookies and came back to Luna and her wife.

“Finally” said Alpha’s sister with exaggerated relief.

Almost half of a film passed when Alpha and Tim came in and silently joined. Young guard left after they had the coffee as Dan called him. But now he was officially after work and invited to spend the afternoon with the rest of them.

“Hi” he said quietly sitting next to Kie

“Hi” she replied smiling.

When the movie ended, Kiara got up and started cleaning the table where all snacks were. Miles automatically did the same.

“I’m gonna clean up that mess and I think we’re gonna go. It’s quite late” said youngest redhead in the room.

“You know you’re both welcome to stay” said Celeste and Rebecca nodded.

“Thank you, but I need to do few more things before tomorrow” said Miles “but Kie is probably tired of her brother now so she’ll be happy to stay”

„Oh no, I shouldn’t” she was all red now.

„I’ll kill you” she added in her mind to her brother.

„I love you too” he answered.

”Nonsense! We can have a girls night!”Celeste was thrilled „come on, I’ll show you your room”

Miles said bye to his sister and started walking towards the hall where front door was. Alpha caught him up and walked him.

”Nervous?” asked Dan „before tomorrow I mean”

”I wish I wasn’t, but I am” replied Miles.

”I was nervous too. Mates bond changes everything. For the better” he assured his pack member ”don’t worry too much”.

”Is there a way to know before?” asked younger red haired man.

”To know who your mate is? They say you can never be sure, but there are some signs” said Dan.

”What about you? Did you see any signs?” continued Miles „I’m sorry… I shouldn’t…”

„I was sure” interrupted Alpha.

Miles nodded. They shook hands, said goodbyes and Miles left.

Meanwhile ecstatic Celeste was showing Kie her room.

”You’ll sleep here, next to Tim’s room. We’re on a floor above, but we’re too loud at night and don’t want to wake you up”

„Celeste! - Rebecca punched her shoulder jokingly „TMI!”

Tim’s room? He was living here?

„Um, Celeste?” asked shyly Kiara „I don’t have any clothes with me”.

„Oh don’t worry, we’re gonna find you something.”

Kiara and Celeste were alone in Luna’s room and were going through her wardrobe. She gave her a pile of clothes, definitely too much for one night.

„I’m not sure what your mom has done today” started Luna out of nowhere „but remember you can always come here. And your brother too. Miles I mean.”

„Celeste, I…” Kiara was taken aback. Did she hear her and Miles talking? But how? They weren’t saying much.

„You don’t have to talk about that unless you want to” interrupted her Luna. It was her other side. The one that little Kie saw during her first shift. That funny, silly behaving woman was also caring and powerful.

„I don’t think I want to now” said Kiara quietly.

Luna hugged her and then they both left carrying all the clothes. The room prepared for Kiara to sleep was big with king sized bed next to the window. Actually she suspected that every bedroom in this residence had king sized bed.

„Make yourself at home pretty” said Luna and then yawned. They spent over an hour in her room looking for clothes, it was late.

“Thank you Celeste” said Kiara smiling.

Luna went back upstairs and called her wife who was in the kitchen. Not long after that, Kie saw Rebecca going upstairs.

The room she was supposed to stay in was really lovely. The walls were dark green, just like Miles’ so somehow it felt like home. There was a big, wooden chest of drawers with an old, or at least old looking clock standing on it. She looked out of the window to see the forest that was their pack territory. She would use a nice run now. Someone’s knocking woke her up from dreaming.

“Come in” said Kiara loudly.

Tim was standing in the doorstep. She totally forgot. Her room was next to his, but why? What’s the reason for him to live here.

“Why do you live here?” she asked like her mouth couldn’t filter what was coming out of it “Oh s**t, sorry. I don’t mean to pry.”

Tim just laughed and apparently this act of curiosity made him more confident, because he came in closing the door behind him and sat on the bed.

“It’s fine. My parents died when I was 14. I had only distant relatives who didn’t know I’m a werewolf and Alpha didn’t want me to live with them. He kind of adopted me.”

Kiara’s eyes were now completely round. “Wow, that’s…” she was speechless “how come your family didn’t know about the wolf thing?”

“Umm…” he looked away “I’m not a real werewolf.”

“What? How? I saw your wolf…” she was confused, but suddenly it clicked “You were bitten.”

Not every werewolf was born this way. And not every werewolf was a good person, just like humans. Some aren’t that lucky to be in such a supportive pack like their. There were packs where no rules were established, so they could attack, hurt or even kill others. Tim must’ve met someone like that. Kiara felt so sorry for him.

“I’m sorry Tim, I didn’t want to upset you. We don’t have to talk about it.”

“I’m not upset. It’s just…” he hesitated for a moment “only few people know about this. And I don’t talk about it often.”

Kie was wondering if Miles knew. They were quite close once.

“It’s fine, I’m really sorry for being nosy.”

“It’s okay, really. To be honest it’s nice to whine a little.” he admitted.

“Well, I’m here if you want to whine any more.”she said jokingly but meant it.

“Someone attacked us. It was a big black wolf, we were sure it’s just an animal” he started telling a story “My dad died right after the attack, but mom and me somehow survived. Doctors weren’t giving us much chances though. Of course they didn’t tell us, but I heard. I didn’t know why but my hearing was like a hundred times better. And we started to heal. They couldn’t believe.”

“So you both turned then?” interrupted Kiara.

“Well, yes and no” he said “we came back home and knew something is off. We both felt different. Now I know it, but then I thought it’s just me and I didn’t want to worry her. She was so depressed after dad’s death. But then came the first full moon after the attack. I shifted, It was so painful, I wanted to die. She started to change too, but hasn’t survived the transition.”

“Oh my goodness Tim” she put her hand on his shoulder “I’m so sorry.”

He stiffened when she did that, but then relaxed and covered her hand with his.

“Alpha must’ve heard about this accident and came for me. I don’t know how he arranged all of that, my school and everything else. But I lived here since then. He is not my true dad, but always behaved so and sometimes I even call him that.”

“Does that mean that you’re the future Alpha?”she asked.

“I don’t think so. I don’t know” he said quietly “I don’t think I’m worthy.”

“What? Why?” she was surprised by this statement.

“There are so many better candidates than someone who’s not even a true wolf” he said and looked away.

“Tim” she cupped his head in her hands for him to look at her “don’t that say thing like that. You’re just as much werewolf as I am. And believe me I am SUPER werewolfy werewolf” she joked “Look. You’ve been through so much, so what if you weren’t born into a wolf family? All your friends haven’t turn until at least 11 years old. So you weren’t even that far behind.”

“Do you really think so?” he asked and felt like a little boy for a second. He always thought so bad of himself, always comparing with his friends. And now someone told him that he wasn’t worse. Of course Dan and Celeste were supportive and tried to make sure that he’s not insecure about that, but they were like his parents, and those are never truly objective.

“Of course Tim” she assured him.

The light wasn’t on and the sun was almost completely hidden, so they were sitting in the dark.

“Well, what about our little battle?” he asked suddenly.

“Oh, you’re so confident now?” Kiara teased.

“Try me” Tim looked at her.

She’d love to go for a run, she was thinking about it before he came to her room. But she was also feeling guilty because of Lisa. They weren’t together anymore, but just few hours after breakup she was lowkey flirting with another person. Maybe she was a slut after all. She snorted.

“What’s so funny?” he raised his eyebrow.

“A lot of things in my mind right now” she said.

“Do you wanna whine a little now?” he asked.

“Not now. Lets go” - she got up and went to the door.

“You sure?” Tim was smiling.

“Come on!” she was already on the stairs, closer and closer to the front door.

“Let’s go this way” he caught her up and grabbed her hand. She let him lead. They were now in the small corridor with glass door to the backside garden. It was closer to the woods from here.

The weather changed, it wasn’t so hot anymore, it was quite chilly. They were surrounded by trees now.

“Turn around, and don’t watch” if they were about to shift they needed to get naked, unless they wanted their clothes ripped. Tim did what she asked him. She undressed and left all her clothes under a rock. He did the same with his. Tim started to shift first, staying in one place, kneeled and in no time he was in his wolf form. Now he saw Kie running, she jumped and then turned midair. Since she saw Luna doing that during ceremony she wanted to learn this so bad. And she was getting better every time.

Now they were looking at each other. Tim was surprised how big Kiara was. She was his size, or even a little bigger and he was an older male. That was unusual. They started running. It turned out she was not only bigger but also faster than him. He decided to check if she’s stronger and playfully poked her. Now they were playing. Kiara was so relaxed right now, this wolfy wrestling was actually so nice. She loved to to that. They didn’t know how long they’ve been in the woods, but the moon was already up in the sky and it looked like it’s been a while. Tim howled and looked at Kiara suggestively to come back. She followed him. They arrived to the place where their clothes were and changed to their human forms again. Tim changed first and this time didn’t turn around, observed Kie when she was shifting.

“If I didn’t know her and yours smell, and someone have told me that you’re the Luna, I would believe. You look exactly the same” said to her with amazement.

She wasn’t even mad that he didn’t turn away, he was looking only at her face. Until now.

“I’m sorry.” he closed his eyes now “get dressed.”

“You should too”- she said looking at him with his delicate places naked.

So they did.

“I must admit, I didn’t suspect your wolf to be… that” he said.

“That… what?”

“You are really strong. And fast. And big. I’m just surprised.”

“I told you” she smiled.

They were coming back to the house now when it started showering. After arriving, all their clothes were wet.

“I need to take a shower” said Kie, but the truth was she didn’t want to leave Tim yet.

“Understood. Good night then” he said, but it seemed like he didn’t want to finish this night too.

They were standing in front of Kiara’s room right now. Although he said good night, no one moved.

“Well I guess we can spend some more time together after shower?” she asked shyly.

“Just let me know when you finish” he said quickly, scared that she might change her mind “I’ll be done in 10 minutes.”

She just smiled and entered her room. What was she doing? She behaved like a middle school girl. And all this thing with Lisa. She couldn’t help it, she just felt good with Tim, and the fact that he was unbelievably handsome wasn’t helping. She showered, brushed her teeth and put on pyjama shorts and one of the t-shirts that Celeste gave her. This time she came to his room. He was topless, wearing only shorts.

“What a look” he teased her “are you coming straight from fashion week?”

She laughed and pretended she’s on a runway.

“Truly amazing” he added.

“Well I’m sorry, not everyone can look like from a magazine’s cover even after shower with wet hair” she replied jokingly referring to him, and blushed.

Tim was smiling before, but now his expression changed. He came closer to Kiara, she could feel his breath now.

“Can I kiss you?” he asked almost whispering.

She just nodded. He put his hands on her waist and bent a little, she was tall, but he was a lot taller. At first it was really slow and subtle. She enjoyed that, actually it was so good she moaned quietly. He heard that and stiffened for a second, but right after that he pressed her to the wall and the kiss intensified.
