Chapter 10: The Storage Unit

293 Words
Aurora arrived at the storage facility, her heart racing with anticipation. She had been searching for answers about Ethan's disappearance for days, and she hoped that this storage unit might hold some clues. As she entered the facility, she was greeted by the manager, a gruff but friendly man named Joe. "Can I help you with something?" he asked, eyeing her curiously. Aurora showed him the receipt she had found in the warehouse. "I'm looking for information about this storage unit," she said. "Do you know what's inside?" Joe nodded and led her to the unit. "Let me get the key," he said, disappearing into the office. As he returned with the key, Aurora felt a sense of trepidation. What would she find inside the unit? Would it lead her to Ethan? Joe unlocked the unit, and Aurora pushed open the door. Inside, she found a stack of boxes and a small trunk. She began to search through the boxes, finding nothing but old files and papers. But as she opened the trunk, she found something that made her heart skip a beat. A photograph of Ethan, with a woman she had never seen before. The woman was beautiful, with piercing green eyes and long blonde hair. Aurora's mind was racing with questions. Who was this woman? And what was her connection to Ethan? As she continued to search through the trunk, she found a letter addressed to her. It was from Ethan, and it read: "Aurora, I'm sorry for everything. I never meant to hurt you. But I have to leave. Please don't look for me. -Ethan" Aurora felt a wave of emotions wash over her. Why had Ethan written this letter? And what did he mean by "I'm sorry for everything"?
