Aurora's mind was racing as she tried to make sense of the mysterious text message. Who could have sent it? And what did they mean by "He's not who you think he is"?
She tried to brush it off as a prank, but the words lingered in her mind. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about Ethan.
As she lay in bed, Aurora's thoughts drifted back to Ethan. She remembered the way he smiled, the way his eyes sparkled in the light. She felt a pang of doubt, wondering if she was reading too much into the message.
The next morning, Aurora decided to do some digging. She started by searching for Ethan's name online, but she couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. She was about to give up when she remembered a conversation she had with her friend Sophia.
Sophia was a journalist, and Aurora had mentioned Ethan to her before. Maybe Sophia knew something about him that Aurora didn't.
Aurora picked up her phone and dialed Sophia's number. "Hey, Soph, I need your help with something," she said, trying to sound casual.
"What's up?" Sophia replied, her voice curious.
"It's about Ethan Thompson. I got a weird text message last night, and I'm trying to figure out what's going on."
Sophia's tone changed, and she lowered her voice. "What kind of message?"
Aurora hesitated, unsure if she should share the message with Sophia. But something about Sophia's tone put her at ease. "It said, 'Be careful around Ethan Thompson. He's not who you think he is.'"
There was a pause on the other end of the line. "Aurora, I think we need to talk in person," Sophia said, her voice serious.
Aurora's heart skipped a beat. What did Sophia know? And what was she hiding?
"I'll meet you at the coffee shop in an hour," Aurora replied, her mind racing with possibilities.
As she hung up the phone, Aurora couldn't shake the feeling that her life was about to change in ways she couldn't imagine.
