Chapter 14: Ethan Didn't Disappear

Isabella took a deep breath before speaking. "Ethan didn't disappear because of work or a personal issue. He disappeared because he's in danger. He's been receiving threats, and I think someone is after him, I'msure he'sgoingto do something bad or something bad will happen to him."
Aurora's eyes widened in shock. "What kind of threats? What bad things will happen to him?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Isabella hesitated before responding. "Ethan was involved in some shady dealings before we met you. He was working with some people who weren't exactly trustworthy. And now, they're after him."
Aurora's mind was racing with questions. What kind of dealings? And who were these people?
Just then, Aurora heard footsteps coming from the shadows. Isabella's eyes darted towards the sound, and she grabbed Aurora's arm.
"We need to get out of here, now," Isabella whispered urgently.
Aurora's heart was racing as she followed Isabella out of the warehouse. What was going on? And who was after them?
As they emerged into the night air, Aurora saw a figure lurking in the shadows. Isabella pulled her in the opposite direction, and they started to run, scared as the cold air hit their faces
