{ Cree's POV }
I stood there in shock as both of the people I care about stormed off. My legs managed to move but instead of taking me to my mate to comfort her, I needed answers. The only ones to give me a fraction of what I wanted to know would be sitting behind a large mahogany desk fuming in anger. Just as I rounded the corner, I could feel my brothers trying to nudge the mindlink. I let them in hearing both of them at once.
"Can both of you please speak one at a time?!" I shouted as it got quiet. Lee started to speak with disdain in his tone, causing me to internally flinch.
"Care to explain as to why our mate has locked us out of her room?" Lee asked,
"Did something happen, that has caused her to be this damn angry?" Aziel began to shout. I sighed, rubbing my forehead.
"Our lovely ex's decided to try and beat our mate to a pulp, but before they could, mother barged in accusing Lilly of starting the whole thing. I am currently walking to father's office. Meet me here in five." With no room for arguing, I blocked off the mind link and headed towards the brown French doors that stood in all it's mighty worth. Before knocking, I waited for my brothers to show up. Within less than five minutes, they rounded the corner. I knocked on the heavy doors as our father gave us a grunted "come in". We opened the door, stepping in with Aziel shutting the door behind us. Our father was reading a document when we entered. He placed it down with a heavy sigh, then stared up at us.
"Have a seat." He gestured to the two leather sofas that sat on each side of the room. We sat down but I remained standing.
"I want answers." I bit out. My father stood up. His aura was protruding dominance.
"Is that why you barged in here?" He asked, still holding my stare.
"What is mother hiding?" I cut right to the chase. I was in no mood to sit there and answer whimsical questions.
"Excuse you?" Father raised his voice, scrunching his eyebrows at us in confusion.
"Well, since mother will not tell us we figured you could at least know something!" I raised my hands exasperily.
"I have no idea what in the hell you are talking about, your mother doesn't hide things from you three and especially her mate!" He slammed his fists on the desk.
"Then why is she so damn harsh with our mate?" Lee asked, standing up with clenched fists.
{ Lilly's POV }
I went to my new room shutting the door huffing. I will never understand what her damn problem with me is! I flopped on my bed running my hands down my face. How did things even end up this way? Everything was so confusing and the more it went on the worst it had gotten. Both Lee and Aziel were worried about me, but I was not about to let anyone come in here at this point in time. I was too angry with everything that had gone on. It was going to fast for my liking. I felt as if I was the only one who could have such a stable mind to process things with. I haven't even talked to Asta about anything. She's probably worried sick about me, I feel like a terrible friend. With that, I sat up just wanting to get these thoughts out of my head. Maybe a run would help. I haven't went for a run yet and that would be just the thing to help ease my chaotic state of mind. Aoi loved that thought, she was practically dancing in my mind. I smiled to myself as I began to walk out of the pack house and into the cool night. I went behind a tree to strip out of my clothes neatly folding them in place to come back to when I was done.
I breathed in closing my eyes, letting Aoi take over. Once I opened my eyes, I was her. It felt like my body was vibrating with energy and it felt so good. We began to run, dodging trees, running as fast as we could go. Once we stopped running we came to a slow walking pace. We spotted a stream and took a drink, just before we went to get a drink our ears perked up as we could hear voices. I looked in the direction of the voices and decided to see who was talking. As we got closer we saw two figures, we began to sneak a little closer to get a good listen and once we were in a good enough distance I could hear the voices. One was female and the other was male.
"How are the preparations going?" His voice was deep and smooth like silk.
"Not well I'm afraid." I froze, that female voice sounded familiar.
" The full moon is almost upon us, don't screw this up." The man said
"Don't worry I will make sure everything is prepared." My heart thumped in my chest, I knew that voice. It was Luna Marie. As I stepped back a branch snapped and my heartbeat quickened as their heads turned to us but what confused me more was the fact that they didn't move, it was as if they couldn't see me.
"You have unlocked one of your powers dear." Aoi spoke to me
"What power?" I asked, panicking, just as I was about to move Luna Marie's face was right up to mine but she kept looking around other than at me. Just what in the hell is going on?!!
