Surprise, Suprise?

“That's all? You agreed just like that? ” “I agreed because you asked Alessio. On a normal day, I never would have.” “I should have said please sooner. Sigh… Let's ask the doctor how soon we can move him.” “He can be moved in a month.” A voice cut in. ‘Wait, had the doctor heard everything that we were arguing about?!’ Camilla thought silently to herself but kept her composure. “Oh, I'm so sorry if you guys thought I was eavesdropping, but I was here first so… Moreover, you can't move him for now. You have to wait a while, but it should be fine in a couple of days. He's quite strong.” A sigh of relief escaped Camilla's lips as the doctor delivered the news. She had been worried for quite a while that Aiden wouldn't be able to travel, but it looks like she had been worried about nothing. “Thank you so much, doctor, and so sorry for cutting into your break with our drama. It's really embarrassing to hear all that and… you know.” The doctor shook her head and a smile lit up her face. “It was amusing listening to you guys argue and Alicia being the voice of reason as usual. I'm glad you guys will be leaving soon. You deserve the rest, and I hope I never have to see you here again. Furthermore, can I give my completely unnecessary advice about your personal life or would you mind?” Camilla paused. Confused at first but decided to give her the go-ahead. It wasn't every time Doctor Isabel said something about anyone's personal life. She liked to keep to herself and mind her business. So for her to be saying something… “Please go on.” “Miss Camilla, I really think you should listen to Alicia when it comes to matters concerning your boyfriend, Mr. Marcello, and I'm sorry to say this, but I think you lose your sense of reasoning when you talk to him.” Camilla sucked in a deep breath. Feeling offended but holding in whatever sarcastic reply she wanted to say. She couldn't say much because she had initially given the doctor the go ahead. “I know you feel like saying something mean to me, but honestly, you're an intelligent and independent lady. Don't let him play you for a fool. For you and your son. Besides, I've met plenty of guys like him and I can say one thing's for sure, he's not the man of your dreams. Neither is this mister with you, but he's manageable. Alright! I've said too much. Thank you for listening and I will be off now. Goodbye.” Camilla smiled and nodded her head at the doctor who went into the hospital first. “Tsk, she may not have let me drug you when you needed to get some sleep, but I agree with her for once.” Camilla gave Alicia a withering glare as the memory of her passing out some nights ago flashed in her head. “I'll get back at you for that stupid stunt you pulled. I'll get a natural sleep myself! Stop drugging me.” Alicia ignored Camilla's threat and sashayed into the hospital like someone without a care in the world. “Aishh! I really should beat her into pulp like I always threaten to. I just don't want to kill her, as I haven't taken out my anger on anyone for quite a while.” Alessio chuckled at her statement, and Camilla stared sharply at him. “Are…. Laughing and is that a smile! Jesus, what happened to the Alessio I used to know?” Alessio's expression immediately hardened, and all traces of him laughing were erased. Camilla shook her head and, with a chuckle, walked back into the hospital. **** A FEW DAYS LATER. “Ok! We are ready and good to go!” Camilla ran her eyes across the bags and mentally accounted for everything. For the last few days, she had been really nervous and even had doubts about packing up and moving to a whole different country without telling Marcello. Last night, she had almost caved in and called him, but Alicia snatched her phone from him with a heated glare directed at her, she kept scolding Camilla. “I knew it! If you talk to the fucker, you won't be able to go ad have the best life with your kid. Want to f*****g tie you down here with him. Stupid bastard! Call him and I will end you on this spot. You will frigging travel and get there unconscious, and I'm damn well sure you would rather not leave Aiden at Alessio's mercy until you get there.” Camilla apologized over and over, while Alicia kept scolding her. After a while, she stopped but took her phone and held on to it the next morning. Camilla approached her to ask for it, but she adamantly refused. “I'm going with you to the airport. When you're about to board, I'll fuckin give you the phone.” Camilla gave up and much later, they were all on their way to the airport. Aiden stayed asleep the entire time, and Camilla couldn't help but feel relieved. 'Just the flight. I hope he doesn't cry.' Soon enough, they arrived at the airport and got to the hangar where the jet was ready to leave. Their bags were boarded and just when Camilla was about to step in, Alicia rushed to the steps to hug her tightly while passing her the phone with a wide grin but tear filled eyes. “I know you don't have the bastard's number written down anywhere, and you don't know it. I deleted Marcello's contact from your phone. Have a lovely life, and please don't look for him. I love you and byeee!” Alicia dashed down and practically ran out of the hanger. Camilla stared at her fleeing back incredulously and loudly cursed at her. That sleeping Aiden woke up. “You fuckin b***h!” *** I felt my blood boil at Alicia's actions. What the heck was she thinking? How was I going to inform Marcello now?
