Cleeanna O' Connell's Point Of View
"Pearla, what a pleasant surprise. Please do come on in, we should have tea in the garden. It really is such a beautiful day outside." Princess Cleeanna steps aside to let her friend through the door, into the drawing room.
Pearland says back, " thank you ever so much Cleeanna. I actually have something of the upmost importance to discuss with you."
"Well than, we best get strait to it. " Cleeanna says as she summons her soulless maid. " Analease, could you please get us some tea. We will take it in the garden."
" Yes my lady, at once."
Turning back to her friend, Cleeanna questioned. "What is of so much importance my friend? For you to have come all this way it must be rather serious."
The ladies Cleeanna and Pearla walked outside to the garden without another word. A maze of walk ways and flowers as far as the eye can see. Toward the back of the yard sat a gazebo. Just perfect for tea and visiting with friends.
The ladies both took a seat and looked around enjoying the beauty and weather. It was a rarity that the weather was this warm and magical. Usually it was a lot chillies or rainy, so days outside were a wonderful gift to be fully enjoyed.
Once the tea was delivered, and the ladies once again left alone the conversing started.
"Pray tell Pearla, what is this big news that you seem so very excited about?"
"Well as you know, we are at the age where we will have our coming out parties. To be presented to suitors, so that we can make a good match."
"Of course, I'm looking forward to these events. Is yours coming up, is this why you are so excited?"
Pearla can barely contain her excitement, as she is almost bouncing out of her seat in excitement.
"Oh Pearla, how could I have missed it, you've met someone that you've taken an interest in, haven't you?"
"I can't wait to find someone my dear friend. Oh that is so wonderful," Cleeanna says clapping her hands together. "I am so happy for you."
"No, no not me Cleeanna, you. You are the one with a suitor."
"Me what has gotten into you. Gossip is not a lovely thing my friend."
"It's not gossip, my brother Dawsom has always had a liking for you. He wants to do it right though, since you haven't had your coming of age party. He has asked me to inquire if it would upset you if he were to come as a suitor, before you've had your party."
"Oh wow, that is a lot to take in, isn't it? Honestly I have no idea how I'm supposed to handle such things, as this is so new. Let me have a word with my folks this evening, and I'll give you my answer tomorrow. Will you be able to stay until then?"
" That would be just lovely. Yes, I can stay until tomorrow if your family shall permit me to do so. I know Dawson would be so very cross at me, if I were to return home without an answer for him."
"Surley, it is completely understandable. I'll go ask right away. I'll be backas quickly as I can with your accommodations. Please enjoy the gardens while you wait."
" Thank you, I think I'll walk about a bit. Let my legs get stretched. It was such a long ride here after all."
"Of course, I'll be back soon."
Cleeanna quickly scurried off to find her parents. As she is heading down the corridor she runs right into her older brother Issaiah.
"Woah, Clee are you alright? Where are you headed in such a hurry?"
"Issaiah, I'm so sorry. Yes I am fine and I am looking for Mom and Dad. Are you alright, you seem to be a bit consumed with something?"
" Dear Clee, of course I'm alright. Did I see your friend Perla come in the front gate?"
" Yes, she came with some news for me. She shall be spending the night. I just want to ok it with Mom and Dad."
" Of course, so where I she now. Are you really leaving her unattended?"
" Only for a short time. She is out in the garden if you would fancy to stop in whilst I'm away. Please do so, so she doesn't feel abandoned.
" Of course I will, if it will put your mind at ease. I'll take grand care of your guest. I'll go to her strait away."
" Oh Issy, you are simply the very best. Thank you ever so much. Have you any idea where I could find Mom and Dad at?"
" Hmmph, let's see. Oh yes, they were going out for a ride awhile back. Although I'm sure that they should be back by now. I would check down in the kitchen. Mom is always crazy hungry after a ride."
" That's so great thank you. Now please go, I don't want Pearla to get lonely. Plus this gives you a great opportunity to see is she's as crazy about you, as you are her."
" How did you know that, I never said anything."
" True, but when she's around she is all you talk about, and you can't seem to see enough of her."
" Is it ok with you, I mean she is your best friend. If you aren't alright with it, then I don't wanna go for it."
" Thank you that's sweet, but of course I'm ok with it. My best friend and favorite big brother, I couldn't want better for either of you."
"Thanks, and I'm your only big brother."
" Details, details. It still doesn't change things at all."
" Alright, I'm gonna try, thanks Clee."
"Anytime."
