Chapter 1

FLASHBACK

"Wake up it's noon" I hear my mother say and I groan, I open my eye and reach for my phone to check the time it's 9:30 am

"Aghhhh" I scream before stepping out of my bed "she always do this" I mumble to myself while heading to the bathroom.

When I finished my business in the bathroom I head towards the kitchen and make myself a cup of tea before heading to the balcony walking through the living room ignoring my mother who was sitting on the couch in front of the TV watching the morning news.

I sit on the balcony sipping my tea and enjoying the peace and quiet that didn't last long before I heard my mother's annoyed voice

"Don't you remember you have a lot of work to do today?" She asked.

"It's not noon mom, it's not even 10 you always do this" I say.

"If I have to wait until you wake up on your own, make breakfast and prepare yourself it will be noon already!

Come on now you don't have time to waste first you have to go to the market and get the groceries I made you a list, then you have to take the invitation cards for your brother's wedding and distribute them, then you have to return, clean the house and start making dinner because tonight your brother's fiancee is coming with her family." She replies while sending me the groceries list to my phone.

I roll my eyes while mumbling to myself 'You could make breakfast yourself it's not like I eat', but I knew better than saying that out loud so I just kept my mouth shut, put on a fake smile and nod.

I head to the kitchen and prepare a fast breakfast for my mother with her morning coffee, I set it on the table before heading to my bedroom and change into the first clothes I get my hands on.

I take the car keys and the invitation cards before heading out the front door.

After a 30 minutes ride I arrive to the market, I park the car and head inside pulling my phone from my purse and start to get the groceries.

After an hour I'm finally done with the groceries I wait in the long line to pay for the groceries before heading back to my car, I put the bags in the trunk before getting in the driver seat and get started on my second assignment.

I finally return home at 3 pm, there is no time to rest or even have something to eat. I just grab the groceries and put them in the kitchen, then I go to my room and place my purse and phone down before changing my clothes.

I started with cleaning the house, which didn't take much time because I clean it everyday.

Once I've finished I head to the kitchen and start cooking, based on the groceries that my mother made me buy the menu for tonight's dinner was clear.

Fresh vegetables soup, 2 types of salad, 3 main courses and 2 desserts type.

Few hours later the dinner was done, I prepare the dining table and serve the food before stepping into the bathroom to have a 5 min shower and get ready because the guests are about to arrive.

I ware a simple black dress, put my hair up in a bun, with a light makeup in my face and finally wearing my heels.

Finally I am ready to greet the guests, when I hear the doorbell I took a deep breath before putting a fake smile on my face and open the front door.

I lead the guests to the living room before calling my mother from her room, once she enter the living room

I say to myself 'can't wait for this day to be over' before plastering my fake smile again and head back inside.

I drag myself to my bedroom, I change into my pjs and throw myself on the bed. I check my phone to see the time, I find it's 2 am.

"Aghh I'm so f***ing tired" I mumble to myself before closing my eyes, I start to console myself with

'I just have to wait until after the wedding, a few days to go' that put a real smile on my face before surrendering to a dreamless night.

The next morning I feel the sun rays hitting my face, it's getting me uncomfortable and woke me up.

I opened my eyes still feeling sleepy, I reach for my phone to check the time it's 7 am.

"So early, damn you sun Aghhh" I yell annoyed but that didn't make me go back to sleep.

Instead I climb off my bed and go to the bathroom, after finishing my business. I head out to check on my mother in the living room, when I don't find her I go to her bedroom and see that she is still sleeping.

I close the door silently "I have to finish everything before she wakes up" I whisper to myself and feel the smile that's growing on my face.

I run to the kitchen and make myself a cup of tea before returning to my bedroom, I close the door silently and put the cup on the nightstand, I jump on my bed and reach for the laptop, I open it quicklyand go online.

The plan is to book a one way ticket, rent a place to stay for a month and arrange a transportation car to pick me up from the house to the airport here and from the airport to the place I'm staying in there.

I made sure to choose the day after the wedding to be my departure date, after an hour and a half of jumping from site to site I finally finish everything, I turn my laptop off and put it away.

I change my clothes before heading out of my bedroom to start the day, my mother was up and she is definitely waiting for her breakfast.

I take a deep breath before opening the door, "let this day start" I say to myself.
