Forgiving the Alpha

Heartbreak

Flash back

I have not seen Daxton most of the week since Alpha Grayson returned, he has been in meetings and training with his father for his Beta role as well.

I walked to the pack house to see if I could catch him after a meeting and walked down the hallway toward the game room door that was cracked open, I stopped with I heard Grayson say my name.

“You should not be f*****g with the girl, she is worthless”

“Come on Grayson you’re just being mean”

“I mean it you will break it off and tell her it meant nothing otherwise you will not be my Beta”

I cover my mouth so they don’t hear my gasp and run out of the pack house with tears running down my face. I went home and went straight to bed thinking he will break up with me because he wont give up his beta role, I could never be more important

The next morning I check my phone, there are no calls or texts so I get ready for the first day of school. When I walk through the main doors I see Daxton standing by his locker with Grayson and all the other guys. He barely looks at me and walks away. I could not keep the tears from streaming down my face and go hide in a stall in the girls bathroom. A group of girls walk in and start to talk.

“Did you see how much muscle Grayson put on this summer he is a god, and thank goddess his beta is breaking up with that lowlife and will be able to date one of us” they all giggle and walk out of the bathroom when they are done

I was late for first period but I did not care as my heart was breaking, at lunch time Daxton finds me sitting alone and sits across from me but did not look me in the eye. “Hey Cam sorry I couldn’t talk this morning” before he continues everyone gets quiet and stares at both of us. “Look this summer was fun but I am ready to move onto better, you don't mean anything to me so don’t think you can come crying back to me” I can hear laughs from around the room and I get up and run straight out of the school and went home with my heart completely broken.

Present

That was the worst dream I could have had given what happened. Since it was Saturday I did not have to be up for anything. When I woke up it was around 10 in the morning and when I turned over Delilah had already left. Felix was curled up next to me and purring while I laid there having no motivation to get up and I was blocking Bia to get a break from her comments, she may have felt like a bad ass but I did not

I almost fell asleep until my phone rang and saw it was my dad calling.

“Hi Dad, how are you feeling, are you doing better?”

“I’m fine, the real question is are you okay? You were in a fight last night and didn’t tell me”

I sighed and rubbed my hands over my face

“I am fine Dad, did Delilah call you and tell you?”

“NO, her father came to training and was talking about how you beat up the Alpha of the shadows moon pack”

“We’ll he deserved it so yes I did kick his ass” (Bia was angry and demanding I put down the block so I did but did not let her control me)

“We’ll its not good they are a new ally and have supported us since the attack”

I was fuming and growled

“You don't even know what happened or why I had to kick his ass, maybe you should ask that question before you worry about your ally”

“Tell me right now what happened”

I growled out again “He tried to assault me” Tears started streaming down my face and then I hung up the phone
