He pulled back slowly. His forehead came to rest against mine‚ our noses almost touching‚ our breath mixing together in the small space between us. His eyes were open and looking directly into mine from so close that I could see every shade of blue in them‚ pale and bright and deep all at the same time‚ layered like the ocean when the sun hits it from different angles. Oh God. They were so beautiful. So impossibly‚ unfairly beautiful that I felt myself getting lost in them‚ drowning in them‚ sinking into that blue like I never wanted to come back up for air.
