Skye’s POV
"The rumour going around the office that Thorne let you go because Julia told him she didn't like you and wanted you out! It's been the hot topic around the water cooler for the past two weeks‚ Skye. Everyone's been talking about it. Julia's been walking around the office like she owns the place ever since you left and people have been saying it's because she gave Thorne some kind of ultimatum. Either you go or she goes. And apparently he chose her."
My jaw tightened. That wasn't even close to what had actually happened but I wasn't about to correct her. Let the office think whatever they wanted to think. Let Julia have her little victory lap. I didn't care anymore. At least that's what I kept telling myself.
"I really don't want to talk about it‚ Evelyn‚" I said
