Ethan was hesitant when we reached my house but he continued to follow me close behind. Jason was the first to acknowledge our presence since he was outside working on the house. I know Lucy was still here. Her car was still parked in the driveway and there was no way for her to run away because Ethan parked right behind her.
Jason shook Ethan’s hand before telling him that Lucy was inside.
He then addressed me when Ethan stepped inside the house. He snaked an arm around my waist and pulled me to him in one slow motion with a bit of talent he got there. “I’m sorry when I just left and more importantly left you alone with your sister.” He softly patted my cheek.
