# Part 10 Changing Destiny That evening, everybody gathered together. Ethan brought Lily and his family, telling them that Bright was throwing a party on a luxurious yacht. When Lily arrived, she froze. Preet, Lisa, Bright, Arjun, and Ryan were all standing there waiting for her. The yacht was beautifully decorated. Large glowing letters behind them read: “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” Lily’s eyes widened in shock. Ryan slowly stepped forward, holding a ring in his hand. Then he gently held Lily’s hand, went down on one knee, and looked up at her. “Will you marry me?” Ryan asked. He took a deep breath before continuing. “I want to see you first in the morning and the last person at night before I close my eyes to sleep.” “I want to hold your hand for the rest of my life.” “I’ll buy you snacks for the rest of my life.” A soft laugh escaped Lily’s lips through her tears. Ryan smiled warmly. “Will you be my forever for the rest of my life?” Tears filled Lily’s eyes as she nodded. “Yes.” The moment she answered, everybody erupted in excitement. “YEAHHHH!” Lily’s parents and Ryan’s Parents immediately hugged both Ryan and Lily. Meanwhile, Ethan and Bright popped the champagne bottles. As the celebration continued, fireworks lit up the night sky. Their colourful reflections danced beautifully across the water’s surface. The yacht echoed with laughter, cheering, and happiness as everyone celebrated the beginning of Ryan and Lily’s new chapter together. But suddenly, Lily remembered something. In the future, Ethan had told her: **”Ryan will propose to you after Lisa returns from the military. You and Ryan will get married in 2058.”** Lily’s smile slowly faded. She looked around. It was still 2057. And Lisa was still serving in the military. Yet Ryan had already proposed. Ryan immediately noticed the confusion on her face. “Hey,” he asked softly, “are you okay with the proposal?” Lily looked at him and nodded. “I’m very happy, Ryan.” “Then what’s wrong?” Lily hesitated before replying. “In the future… Ethan said we get married in 2058. And Lisa had already returned from the military.” Ryan remained silent for a moment before smiling. “Then our plan is working.” Lily looked at him. “We’ve already started changing the future.” A smile slowly appeared on Lily’s face. Ryan lifted his champagne glass. “To changing destiny.” Lily gently clinked her glass against his. “To changing destiny.” Both smiled and took a sip. A week later, Ryan and Lily exchanged vows and got married. The wedding ceremony was attended by important guests from both families, along with all of their friends. After the ceremony ended, Ryan’s father surprised them with an expensive honeymoon package. Lily froze. The smile on her face disappeared for a brief second. Because she remembered another fragment from the future. She and Ryan were supposed to meet with a terrible accident while returning from their honeymoon. It was after that accident that she started suffering from memory loss and dementia-like symptoms. A wave of anxiety washed over her. But she didn’t want to disrespect Ryan’s father by rejecting such a heartfelt gift. So both Ryan and Lily accepted it politely. Later that night, after everyone had left, Lily told Ryan everything. Ryan listened quietly. When she finished, he gently held her hands. “Lily,” he said softly, “if you’re this worried, we can simply cancel the trip.” Lily immediately shook her head. “No, Ryan. We can’t do that.” “Why not?” “It would be disrespectful to your father. He gave it to us with so much love.” Ryan sighed. “Okay. Then let me think of something.” He gently kissed her forehead. “Stop panicking and get some sleep.” Eventually, Lily fell asleep. Ryan covered her with a blanket and quietly walked toward the balcony. The cool night breeze brushed against his face. He took out his phone and called Ethan. A few moments later, Ethan answered. Soon, Arjun and Bright joined through conference call. Ryan explained everything. The group fell silent. Then Bright suddenly spoke. “Actually… I have an idea.” Everyone listened. “You guys can’t cancel the trip.” Ryan nodded. “So let’s all go together.” There was silence. Bright continued, “Let’s make it a friends’ trip.” “I’ll arrange the tickets and book the hotels.” “Honestly, because of all this apocalypse mess, none of us have gone anywhere together in years.” His voice softened slightly. “And who knows…” “I don’t even know if I’m going to survive.” After all, according to Lily’s visions, I’m the first one to die.” “I want to enjoy at least one trip with all of you.” The call went quiet. Then Ethan immediately snapped. “Shut up, Bright.” Bright blinked. Ethan continued firmly, “We already changed a lot of things.” “And we’re going to change that too.” “You are not dying.” Bright smiled weakly. For the first time in a long while, all four of them felt hopeful. Maybe destiny wasn’t fixed after all. Maybe the future could be rewritten. While Lily was sleeping, she started to see visions again. Fragments flashed before her eyes. A demolished library. Destroyed supermarkets. Collapsed buildings. Abandoned roads covered in blood. Dead bodies scattered everywhere. It looked as if zombies had attacked every corner of the city. The images came one after another, faster and faster, until suddenly — Lily jolted awake. She sat upright in bed, breathing heavily as sweat dripped down her forehead. Ryan immediately noticed. Without saying anything, he reached for the glass of water on the bedside table and handed it to her. “Was tat a nightmare again..” Lily took the glass with trembling hands and drank a few sips before looking at him. “Its more Like future.. I saw things which I didn’t see in my future before I die there I don’t know how I saw the Present the present of 2059 Im seeing it but im not teleported its just feels like Fragments of memories but I don’t think they were my memories..” Ryan listened quietly. There was concern in his eyes, but he didn’t interrupt her. Lily lowered her gaze. The feeling was different from her previous visions. Before, it felt as though she had been transported into the future itself. This time, it felt like she had been shown pieces of someone else’s memories. Broken fragments. Scattered scenes. A future she couldn’t understand. Ryan gently wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. “Its ok let it be no matter wat we are gonna make it.” Lily rested her head against his shoulder. His calm voice always had a way of easing her fears. After a few moments, Ryan smiled softly and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. “Get ready lets have breakfast and Leave to the Airport.” Lily nodded. As they headed toward the airport, neither Ryan nor Lily noticed that a car was following them from a distance. The vehicle stayed far enough to avoid suspicion, yet close enough to keep them in sight. When they finally met the others near the airport and entered the terminal together, the driver remained inside his car and watched silently. A few moments later, he took out his phone and made a call. “Don’t worry. I’m keeping an eye on them for the rest of the trip.” The person on the other end replied, but his words were too low to hear. The call ended. The man stepped out of the car. Dressed in a black jacket and wearing a mask, he adjusted the cap on his head before walking toward the airport entrance. Then he disappeared into the crowd. Following them. Watching them. - To Be Continued…
