Their marriage concluded with a kiss. The crowd cheerfully departed the newly-wed couple to the bedroom. Once the couple was alone, Astrid rushed to him and held her husband in an embrace.
"What is it, my love?" The emperor questioned his woman.
Astrid then expressed her concern, "Since you've got a pack of your own, you might have to go there as well, right?"
The man tenderly stroked her head as he explained, "My heart belongs to you. However, one cannot abandon duty for the sake of love."
"That's true," Astrid mumbled as she brought her hands closer to his face.
Upon cupping his face, Astrid pleaded with him, "Is it possible for you to love me forever?"
Astrid had hoped that he would ridicule her for proposing such irrelevant fear. Instead, he regarded her query with seriousness.
