DUEL FOR THE THRONE

2117 Words

Even though Astrid had been waiting inside the emperor’s chamber, she had this unsettling feeling in her heart that things could go wrong. Since the emperor had valour and a thick-boned structure against her fragile body, she realised that she wouldn’t be able to make it if she didn’t rely heavily on wit for this battle. “I have to think of a manner to strike him when he’s at his weakest. Otherwise, it would be a hassle to face him head-on in battle,” deduced Astrid. After successfully being able to circumvent through the royal guards, Astrid feared that if someone were to find out about the guards, she rendered unconscious to Julius, she’d be in immense trouble. “What should I do? Should I keep waiting here or should I leave?” speculated Astrid while analysing all of her options.
