Confrontation

She could hardly breathe. Rushing down the enormous hallways of the Evanti mansion, the walls had never felt so dark and dreary. Her skirts were bunched up in her fists as she ran down, discarding all the grace and dignity expected of the Duchess of the most prominent house in the country. Daphne could only think of one thing. Why her children?  What have Ayana and Bruce done to deserve this?  Why did Ayana have to suffer so much? Why is Bruce being played a pawn in a dirty game for power? People were yelling at her to slow down, but she did not have it anymore. Any shred of rationality had vanished in thin air.
