I scoffed as I saw Belle's and Vanessa's futile attempt to calm the crowd of almost fifty,consisting of men,women, youths, and children.
An angry man stepped forward from the crowd and faced Vanessa. ”What do you have to offer apart from being the daughter of that greedy village head? Stop hiding behind the guards and talk reasonably about why we are being discriminated against in our own village!”
