I walked to the library in a daze, drifting through the halls as if I'd known them for years. I tried not to question it as I counted my lucky stars that I didn't run into another vampire. After what had happened with Richard, I didn't think I had it in me for another altercation. Before I knew it, I stood in front of the ornately carved door. I could feel something pulling me forward.
