The drive back to Bloodrose Court was a silent one, filled with tension so palpable you could almost cut it with a knife. It felt like my and Ezra's relationship was at a precipice. It was like someone could come up at any moment and snip the fine line that tethered us together, unraveling everything. Unraveling the tenuous bond between us.
