“That’s great…” Lawrence was happier than ever, knowing the woman wasn’t upset with him gave him more hope for the future. Somehow he felt like a giant weight had been lifted off his shoulder at that moment.
“You seem relieved…” Scarlet remarked while glancing over at the man’s face.
“Scarlet you might not realize it but I do value you a lot. Not only as a Doctor but as a person and mostly as a friend… I did such stupid things and said even more stupid things because I wanted you to think highly of me as well…” Lawrence told her, he was someone that lacked shame when it came to praising others.
“You think highly of me despite how I act towards you?” Scarlet wondered, she never imagined that was his perception of her, not in the least.
