Nyssa pov.

We've been traveling for almost three days now, I'm very tired and I can't wait to get there. There is no sign of fatigue on Soleil. I talk to her a lot, she told me the story of the origin of vampires, how they got an amulet to protect from the sun, even how they feed without killing people. Lily was right, I don't need to prejudge.

- We're almost there. Look, up on the mountains is my kingdom. - said Soleil.

-Kingdom? -I asked in shock.

I looked at the mountains and saw only forests and stone. To have a kingdom you need to have a castle, and I don't see one anywhere.

- Don't be fooled by appearances. - she answered.

I didn't want to question her anymore, so as not to offend her somehow. After an hour's walk, we reached the foot of the mountain, I felt a chill, the sun was high in the sky, but here it was like night. The fog is between the trees so I can barely see in front of me, it looked like shadows were moving in the fog. Soleil came to the hidden entrance to the cave. It's very well hidden, if you don't know it's there there's no way you'd find it, you'd just walk in circles. We entered the cave, the stairs at the entrance were dizzyingly high and I guess they lead to the top mountains.

- When we get upstairs, hold on to me. Until I explain to the others who you are and why you are here, don't go too far. Clear?

- To the others? -I asked in shock.

- Yes, to the others. What did you think I was alone? - she laughed.

- Yes, no, I don't know what I was thinking. -I answered confused

When we arrived, I understood what she meant when she said the kingdom. At the very top of the mountain is a castle, a real castle, which is perfectly integrated into the mountain so that it looks like a part of it. All eyes were on me, then I saw how many vampires there were. They smelled me like I did them, I stood behind Soleil as she told me, she explained why I was there and surprisingly no one complained or protested.

- Come, I'll show you your room and the rest of the castle. Now you have met everyone and you don't have to be afraid. - said Soleil.

- We have a problem. -I answered.

Soleil was showing me the castle, it was beautiful, on the other side of the castle there was a waterfall, through which when you exit there is a meadow and in the background a forest. There is lighting on the walls, Soleil says they have their own power source which is impressive. My room is huge, a big bed in the middle of the room, a small balcony on one side, and on the other side a door leading to a private bathroom. I was delighted.

- I have to go now. You get ready and go down to dinner. - said Soleil

- But what if I get lost? - I asked.

-Ask someone to take you to the dining room if you can't find it by yourself. You will meet someone, it is never empty.

I took a shower and realized that I hadn't had time to pack any of my clothes. Then someone knocked on the door, I wrapped a towel around myself and opened it.

- Miss Soleil said you didn't have time to bring your clothes so she sent this. -said a girl who looked my age.

- I'm Lexi, I'll take you shopping tomorrow. We will buy everything you need. - she answered with a smile.

- Dinner is ready, get dressed and come down, we are all waiting for you.

I got dressed and we went down to dinner together. In the dining room there was a large table full of food and drinks, what caught my attention was that all the vampires were sitting behind it, as if they were waiting for me to have dinner together. I sat down and questions started pouring in from all sides. I felt comfortable, as if I had always been there.

- We want to keep you company so that you are not lonely. -said one man

- How do you like it here? - asked the other.

Everyone was in shock, they couldn't believe what they were hearing.

I noticed that two seats at the table were empty.

-Who else needs to come? – I asked, pointing to the empty seats.

-Soleil will join us later and Aiden said he will come in two days.

- Who is Aiden? Soleil's husband? - I asked.

-No no. Aiden is her brother. He is the complete opposite of Soleil. For centuries, she tried to calm his wild side. When we think she succeeded, he proves otherwise. -Lexi answered

- Should I be afraid because of him? - I asked.

That calmed me down a bit. We spent the rest of the evening talking and laughing. I was lying in bed thinking about the past few days, my life completely turned upside down. I thought about my mother, how she feels now. What does Theo think? He's probably mad because I'm his mate. Can he reject me if I'm miles away from him? Will Any believe my letter? How is it possible that they accepted me better there than in their own pack? For the first time, I feel good, I feel accepted and calm even though there is a storm inside me. Will I ever return to my pack? The only fear I have is that Any will forget me and hate me, I would put up with anything, but if I was left without her, it would destroy me. Lily calmed me down, it's a real relief to have her.

Theo pov.

All weekend I was angry and furious about everything. I avoided my parents, I spent most of my time training, I had to take that anger out somewhere, better on a punching bag than on someone innocent. I swore to myself that no one would ever know that Nyssa was my mate, I would never forgive her for leaving like that. I have to somehow find out if I can reject her. Besides, the future Alpha needs a strong Luna and she is not that. If someone found out the truth it would ruin my reputation.

- Do you really mean that? -Jake asked

- Yes, she would only embarrass me. -I answered

- You are an i***t. – answered Jake unsatisfied.

- Well, I'm sorry, but you're stuck with me. -I answered

- Don't forget that you depend on me more than I depend on you. If you hadn't been a fool to her, maybe she wouldn't have left, and remember that you mistreated her, not her. One day you will regret everything. Jake said
