Dilemmas and Escapes.

Ivy’s POV I woke early in my own bed, Broc had slept in his, after the a few hours of tv, we’d said goodnight and gone our separate ways. I lay peacefully in my bed as the sun rose outside, for a second I felt at peace before I remembered yesterday’s betrayal from Florain. I rolled over to face the wall. I’d yet to come up with a punishment, I’d never been in charge of anyone as a boss, let alone as an Alpha, I closed my eyes. “Agni.” I whispered. I opened my eyes again, finding myself where I’d expected too, in the dreamscape. “Well long time no visit Ivy!” Agni snapped, her pout giving away her hurt feelings. She was in her human form today, her long silky black hair falling over her shoulders, her eyes watching me closely. I smiled, knowing she was just teasing, she knew how crazy it had been the last few weeks, months, well year! “Agni, I meant to fit you in just been bombarded with problems, how are you?” I replied calmly, she looked at me sideways and then smiled. “Well, thank you, I know you’ve meant to visit, been a real crazy ride so far!” She exclaimed, her volume hurting my ears. “But what about this Broc huh? He is a hunk!” She giggled, her eyes sparkling where she stood, a few feet away, I moved to sit shaking my head. Agni did the same. “Yeah he is attractive but..” I tried, wincing. “But you are like 5% related?” Agni finished, I nodded awkwardly. “Yeah, He is 1000 years old! I’m 19 turning 20, isn’t that a little weird as far as relationships go?” I explain, leaning back on my hands. “Well yeah you’ll have the biggest age gap relationship ever, something for women’s weekly! Haha.” Agni smirked. “But he does make you smile, you relaxed for the first time in months and he is protective of you, which is important.” She finished, her eyes searching mine for a reaction, as I did my best to avoid their inspection. Finally she sighed, causing me to look up. “At the end of the day nothing normal about this whole situation, go with your gut. I mean you’re Alpha Queen, the first, you died twice and came back, you mate’s a jackhole right now, Garrett has a mate and yet you love him and a 1000 years old ancestor kinda is crushing on you.” She finished huffing. “No one can tell you how it should be, no ones been where you are.” She adds, I nod, she’s right of course. “Ok well let’s leave that for now, and start small.” I say, Agni frowns but nods for me to continue. “What am I supposed to do about Florain as punishment?” I ask Agni. “Well how’d you feel about her telling Garrett you were alive, when you’d ordered her not to?” Agni asked. “Really pissed off, and then afraid Brody would find out, or find my number.” I answered honestly. “Then you have to make her feel the same I suppose.” Agni replies. Conrad POV Jace sat quietly in front of me, the office soundless but for our breathing for a moment. “Florain told Garrett that Ivy’s alive, told him everything except where Ivy is as she doesn’t know.” I started, watching as Jace stiffened at my words. “Everything?..” He breathed in reply, I nodded my face grim. “Yes, That she is Alpha Queen, Immortal, She died and revived, the events leading up to it, and finally she called Ivy so Garrett could hear her voice.” I swallow as I finished, each word painful to say, as I realized the danger of Brody finding out she was alive was still a high-risk possibility. Jace nodded, but said nothing his face a grim and focused frown. “What do you want me to do?” He finally asked, meeting my eyes, disappointment swirled within them. “Nothing.” I replied, Jace c****d his head in confusion. “Nothing?” He asked. “Nothing.. for now, my only job was to assure that when Ivy comes to serve punishment you will not intervene.” I explain, Jace nods. “Ivy won’t..” He clears his throat, “Won’t hurt Florain right?” I ponder a moment before replying. “I do not believe she will, but then again I’m not sure, had I been in her position and you in Florain’s, you would have earned a beating or 2.” I said honestly. “Yeah that’s true. Still I respect Ivy’s decision whatever the price..” Jace chokes on the last word, but gets it out. This time I nod, having nothing more to say.   Florain POV I did not sleep well last night, Garrett had come by knocking on my door earlier but I hadn’t the energy to open the door. So had instead ignored it, trying for more sleep unsuccessfully. I’d texted Ivy twice and not received a reply. No instead I’d been left to stew in silence, if this was my punishment, I wished for whippings any day! I looked at the clock beside my bed, 2 pm in the afternoon, Jace had sent a text only minutes before saying he’d be here at 3 but time seemed to have slowed. I turned on the Tv, hoping some reruns of talents show would help pass the time.   Garrett POV I was mad, all day yesterday, all through the night and all today so far. I was furious. Furious that Florain had told me that Ivy was alive despite being told not to, in doing so betraying Ivy. I was so glad that Ivy was alive, so f*****g glad, my sun rising again on the horizon, yes. My world resumed turning too but I would never have wanted to know, if it upset Ivy or in anyway put her in danger. No, she was everything good that I’d ever encountered. At that moment my thoughts were interrupted by the shrilling of my phones ringtone. I looked down at the screen as I retrieved it from my pocket, frowning, it was my sister again. Knowing I couldn’t ignore her for a third day in a row, I answered it. “What do you want?” I ground out. “Aww you’re not still mad at me!” She whined in my ear. “I am, now spit it out, I’m busy!” I snapped. “So am I..” She whispered suggestively. “I know all about that, remember..” I say with disgust. “Well anyway just wanted you to know, that the old man’s looking for you.” She says offhand, my body stiffens. “The old man?” I ask. “Yeah something about you not calling him, and asking about why you up in Freestone area again.” She replies, beads of sweat were beginning to form in my hairline. “You call him and tell him I’m visiting friends…and I’ll consider the other incident forgotten.” I reply smoothly. “Fine.” She grumbles before hanging up. I sigh in relief, I was safe for now, but not forever.. things were becoming very complicated, very fast.
