Tom glanced at the calendar on his desk. Where had the time flown? Six months after that amazing weekend on Amelia Island, Jack had convinced him moving in together was the smartest idea either of them could ever have. Jack had come across a nice house on a good-sized piece of property in a gated community.
“It’ll be perfect, Tommy,” he’d said, and Tom had to agree it would be, since the house Jack had lived in at the time just wasn’t large enough to accommodate them all, especially after Jack’s son and daughter had shown up on the doorstep unexpectedly, Thaddeus with a livid bruise high on his cheek and Rebecca subdued and seeming ready to burst into tears at a moment’s notice.
