Every day is someone’s birthday.
Every dawn makes the hope someone has counted down to for weeks.
Every random 22nd November and 4th of May
is a full circle – a whole 365 days – for someone else.
Life extends constantly,
in newborn cries,
in aging smiles,
in every quiet and loud “plus one.”
Foundations of generations
are carried in single breaths,
the same way our present existence
was carried decades and centuries ago
by people whose names and faces
we would not recognize,
even if they walked among us again.
Each single day on this spinning earth,
somebody somewhere is blowing out candles.
A child is turning one,
a teenager is turning eighteen,
the youngest sibling is entering adulthood,
the first daughter is stepping into another decade,
someone is becoming new again.
And it’s normal…
how the same day can be ordinary for you,
yet a whole celebration for someone else.
While you’re buying bread,
Someone is buying balloons.
While you’re washing clothes,
Someone else is cutting cake.
While you’re sighing over a long day,
Someone is grateful for another year of life.
Every day is someone’s fresh start,
someone’s laughter-filled moment,
someone’s reminder that life keeps moving even when we feel stuck.
That’s the beauty of it.
Life doesn’t pause.
It renews itself through people,
through dates,
through candles melting wax into wishes.
It never revolves around the selfish or conceited.
Its rhythm is bigger than any ego that tries to center itself.
Even on the days that feel dull,
unremarkable,
and painfully usual,
the world is still celebrating someone.. something.
And one day,
that “someone” will be you again.
Your own cake.
Your own wishes and achievements.
Your own sure miracle that says,
“You made it through another year.”
So even if today isn’t your birthday,
smile anyway,
you’re sharing the day with thousands stepping into a new age,
A new chapter,
A new reason to hope.
Because life, in its broad ways,
is always beginning somewhere.
Smile, and live each day – for yourself,
for someone else,
for strangers who need the spark.
Even if not for you – for someone like you☆
