Entry 8 – Of Hearts That Give, Not Have

215 Words
Giving isn’t a luxury of the rich, It’s a privilege of the poor. Because only those who’ve felt hunger, know how sacred a shared meal can be. Only those who’ve lacked warmth, understands the comfort of a given hand. The rich may give from their plenty, but the poor gives from their pulse, from the remnants of what they’ve survived. For giving isn’t about what’s left over, it’s about what’s left within. It’s not the gold that makes a hand heavy, but the intent it carries when it chooses to give. Some gifts are not glittering in grandeur but in presence, in warmth, and the kindness of a willing heart. True generosity is not abundance, it’s intent, willingness and impact. The poor know the real weight of need, so when they give, even from their little, it carries a purer, selfless reason. The rich has the luxury to give, but the poor have the empathy to give – because they understand pain, hunger, and lack firsthand. Giving is not excess. When we have less and still choose to share, it’s not just charity, it’s compassion in its truest, most humane form. But we shouldn’t demean the rich, some don’t give because they’re rich, they’re rich because they give. Generosity doesn’t follow wealth. Wealth follows generosity.
