Entry 12 – Patience, My Silent Companion

437 Words
Within us... A companion that has always stayed, and guided, breathing quietly alongside time. But never valued. Till it grew weary to some of us, this firm assurance, a quiet companion of stillness and faith on the road to becoming. We forget it lives, not as anxiety, but as hope that waits. It manifests as love, as steadfastness, as the calm despised hand that steadies trembling hearts. We are all in a hurry to fly without wings, but how possible can that be? Just as no bird can soar without its feathers, no dream can stand without patience. When we try to want without waiting, we only leap a little, then fall right back into nothingness. Patience, is the most underestimated strength of all. It is a core virtue that makes every wait worth it. To vanity we strive, wanting the fattest bone, but mock the patient dog that will one day feast. Patience is an armor, a guard for focus, a shield for contentment, the gentle art of waiting with grace and trust. It is not weakness, but silent action. It holds gratitude close, and waits for the right moment to arrive. It is the heart that still believes when answers seem far away, the calm in the storm’s center, the whisper that says, not yet, but soon. “For even in suffering, we learn to glory, for suffering births perseverance, perseverance shapes character, and character gives rise to hope, and hope does not disappoint us, for it is filled with love poured into our hearts through the Spirit that stills us.” The Holy Pages, Rom 5:3-5 No matter what’s lost, whether by fault or by fate, Patience curbs regret and restores tenfold. . * * * * * * * Some Days Takes More Than It Gives Today may have been long. The sun may have felt heavier than usual and the air painfully thinner. You moved through the hours on tired feet, with thirst probably scratching your throat and hunger sitting like a stomach ache beneath your ribs. But you moved. You kept moving. Maybe it wasn’t perfect – it wasn’t even fair, but you showed up for yourself in ways no one else could have done. You walked when it hurt, waited when you wanted to give up. Stayed when leaving would’ve been easier. The world didn’t pause for you, but somehow, you found pace in the chaos. And even in exhaustion, you made small victories – taking bold steps closer to something better. Tonight/day, don't demand more from yourself. Let rest relieve you. You made it through however bad it was.
