"Wait for me. I'll be at your place within the hour." The man's voice was urgent. "Stay put. I'm getting you out of there."
I went through everything in the apartment. Anything that belonged to Callum went into a single package, and I shipped it off to his parents' house.
He had a lot of stuff here. So much that the room felt half empty by the time I was done.
Just as I finished, a message from Callum popped up.
Callum: Summer, sorry, the competition team just announced a month-long training lockdown, and I'll be prepping for the contest through summer break too. I won't have my phone for the next two months, so you won't be able to reach me. If anything comes up, go to my parents. I'll bring you a gift when I get back.
I didn't reply. Another message came through.
Callum: Summer, be
