SedonaMy eyes crack open. They’re gritty and sore. I’d rub them if I weren’t in wolf form.
Where am I?
I attempt to move and hit against metal bars. Oh fates. I’m in a cage—a f*****g cage.
It all floods back to me. I was on my morning run on the beach in San Carlos. Spring break in Mexico. I caught the scent of a male shifter, and I stopped, turning in a slow circle to identify where it was coming from. A guy lifts his hand in a wave. He walks over, casual-like, but the hairs on the back of my neck are standing up.
I know he’s going to be a problem.
