Mallory nodded. “Don’t worry. We’ll talk it over and let you know what we decide.” At Kruth’s relieved smile, she headed for the tavern door with the rest of her companions.
Outside, they lit one of the lanterns and made their way to Sarisa’s place. Ninette and Callum offered to sort the resources, including organising more vegetables for Sarisa, and tie Bobbi up with the rest of the livestock out by the tree while Mallory, Danae, Ryan and Brodie headed inside.
Sarisa was sitting by the fire writing on a piece of thick, cream coloured paper that had small, neat handwriting across half of it in alternating styles. She looked up as they entered. “I let your father know you’re back here.” Sarisa gestured towards the paper.
