Kevin folded the veil around him and went to the caverns below the castle. The time for hiding was nearly over. Today they would make their presence felt, word had gone to the commander to kick off the battle by launching an attack on the king with his men inside the palace. That action was sure to cause a distraction and with everyone’s eyes and focus on the attack from within they would launch their own attack. If they were lucky Janson might even succeed in killing the king.
The loss of Jess had been a blow to their cause, he’d been so close to breaking the woman.
