Amelia walked down the damp underground tunnel that ran from the Kastler estate to the caverns where the ranks of the older Sundered and new arrivals were housed. She’d heard there was a new arrival with much potential—nothing like her, of course, but powerful—and she’d decided to check him out.
It was a fine line, she’d learned, when to progress from the medication regime through to full conversion.
