Faced with the choice between using the hotel's Olympic-sized swimming pool, or going to the beach, Val opted for the beach. This time she was determined to get herself it genuine Miami Beach suntan. She remembered with mild amusement what had happened the first time she had visited Florida. On their honeymoon, she and Doug had been in Florida almost two weeks before they went to the beach. And then it had been on their last day, just before they flew back to rainy New York. The combination of a string of rainy days, their enthusiasm for sight-seeing, and their own eagerness to f**k as much as possible, kept them away from the beach until the last possible moment. In order to make up for lost time, they spent the entire day at the beach, and came home with second-degree burns
