Part 11

"What's this, Baby? I don't know you have an i********: account. I remember the last time I checked you didn't even have the application." William's handsome features can't hide his confused expression when he asks me that. I'm already used to him occasionally checking my phone and I don't mind at all. He needs to make sure that I'm still his. And I understand that he needs a solid proof to support that.   "I just downloaded it yesterday. I hope you don't mind."   "Don't worry, Lou. When did I ever ban you from social media?" He responds without looking at my direction. His eyes are still busy with all the contents in my phone. "But I won't allow you to have Snapchat though. It's useless to you."   We both are now sitting on his bed, leaning against the head board with one of his hand circling at my waist, waiting for dinner time as William's maids are currently busy in the kitchen preparing it. His maids already changed the bed sheet and pillow cases when we're in the shower. And William had changed his clothes that got wet due to helping me taking a bath. He's now wearing a gray T-shirt and long navy pants. I don't know why he wears long pants while he gave me these gray flannel shorts along with a white T-shirt to wear tonight. This isn't the first time I spend the night at his place and he usually wear shorts at home.   "But why did you suddenly set up an IG account? What for?" He inquires my background motivation. "Do you plan to post daily pictures of yourself? Your selfies?"   I chuckle at that. "Of course not, William." He seems to always forget that my self-esteem level is actually far below the average line. "My friend, Emily made me create that account. She wanted me to follow her on lnstagram."   "So, you aren't going to post anything on it?"   "I haven't really thought about it." So far, I just find out that browsing through countless of pictures in i********: is rather amusing. "Maybe I will just post photos of food that I cook myself. Can I?"   Making decision is not something I feel confident about. That's why I always need William's support upon every choice I make. Including a small stuff like this. I'm not willing to take any risk. I mean, a small stuff to me could probably be seen as hugely significant by my boyfriend.   "Sure, you can, Baby." He gives me a warm comforting smile. Looks like his previous suspicion has already subsided. "I also don't mind if you plan to post pictures of us both in one frame. Not your selfies."   Of course, I understand that he doesn't want people to think that I am single and available. I smile unconsciously, responding to his warning. I don't know why, but I find his possessiveness to be adorable most of the time. And I kind of like it because such attitude can only be translated as him seeing me as something precious to him, right?   A series of knocking sounds is heard from the door's direction. William locks my phone and gives it back to me. I put the phone right away on the side table beside me. He quickly gets up from the bed to answer the door.   "Yes?" William asks as he opens the door.   "Master Young, there's Mr. Jules waiting for you downstairs. He said he had an appointment with you tonight." Says a young lady who's standing outside the door. She's one of William's maids.   After few months of occasionally visiting this mansion, I reckon that William actually employs 6 maids here in total, apart from some guards at the gate and gardeners. Yet I know none of them except Ellie until now. Not that I've been keeping a certain distance with them, it's just because Ellie has always been the one who showed up whenever William called for attendance. And Ellie was the only one whom I got a chance to make a conversation with.   "Alright." William replies. "Louis and I will be having our dinner in bedroom. Bring the food here when they're ready."   "Yes, Sir. The food is ready." She informs. "I'll bring them in now."   William looks back at my direction once the maid has excused herself to leave. "Lou, I have something to take care downstairs. When the dinner's here, you go eat first, okay? Don't wait for me."   "No, I'll wait for you."   He smiles. "Alright then."   With that, he steps out of the room and closes the door behind him. He's going downstairs to see this Jules person. I remember William called him today before we left school. Perhaps that's the reason why William chooses not to wear shorts right now. Because he's expecting a guest for business appointment.   I shift a few bit in my sit to reduce the discomfort that I still feel in my rear. I really hope the stinging pain can completely be gone by tomorrow morning. Or else, I'm going to have a very hard time to sit still at school all day, not that I'm complaining. I don't regret what we've done today. I don't regret giving myself up to William at last. I even feel grateful that, of all people, my first time was to be experienced with him. And he's such an attentive boyfriend. He's better than anyone could ever hope for.   Suddenly, a ringing sound is heard from my side. And it's not my phone ringtone. It's Williams. I take in the sight of the night stand beside the bed. Laid there are my phone and also William's. His phone is ringing and vibrating due to the incoming call. I dare myself to take a quick glance at the caller ID. It's Mikey. What does he want now? Why can't he just stop plotting evil against me and leave us alone?   Once the ringtone stops ringing, I hear several dings coming from William's phone. It must be Mikey dropping some text messages since his call was left unanswered. I admit I get a little bit curious about those texts. I want to know what they are about. But there's no way I can read them since William's phone is locked and there's no text preview on its lock screen.   I understand why he set it that way. William and his family are sort of VIPs, right? And by nature, most VIPs usually deem the need for privacy as something that is non-negotiable. Well anyway, even if it isn't locked right now, I don't think I would have the gut to just grab his phone and read those texts out of curiosity. At least, not without William's permission.   "Master Louis." A lady called me from outside the room after knocking a few times. She must be the maid from before.   "Come in please." I answer.   A second after, the door is open. A maid comes in with a fully occupied food trolley. Seems like they have made a lot of menu choices for dinner. She shoves the trolley closer to where I am. The maid is apparently not too old. She's probably around late twenties. And she's now wearing a black and white maid dress, just like every other maid here.   "Good evening, Sir." She greets me with a polite smile. Now that she's close, I can see that she has green eyes that match with her pony-tailed brown hair.   "Good evening. Please just call me Louis, like Ellie does." I'm not used to people addressing me with such title. "What is your name?"   "I'm Helen, Sir. How are you feeling? I've been informed that you're unwell today." She still keeps the 'Sir'.   "Just Louis please. It's easier for us to be friends when we drop the formalities." I ask again. "I'm feeling better. Thank you for asking, Helen."   I never see housemaids as people with lower status rank. I don't mind having a friendly conversation as well as making friends with them. Although William might not agree with the idea, but he had never f*******n me from having small talk with Ellie when I was cooking in his kitchen sometimes. But of course, I did it only when he's not around. William doesn't like me splitting my attention in his presence.   "Alright uh... Louis." She tests my name. "Nice to meet you." She offers me a genuine kind smile.   "You too." I smile back.   "The bed trays are here." She points at the side of the food trolley. There are two wooden fold tray that can be used for bed dining. "Do you want me to set the food now?"   "No, Helen, thanks. I'll do it later. I'm still waiting for William."   "Very well then. Is there anything else you need?" Helen asks again. Sounds like a final question before she asks to be dismissed.   "No, I'm fine, Helen. You can go."   "Very well then. I'll take my leave now." She excuses herself and heads to the door.   At the same time, the bedroom door is opened before Helen can reach it. William calmly enters the room while bringing a medium sized maroon paper bag in his hand. Helen nod her head towards William as a gesture of respect.   "Master Young, dinner is ready."   William merely nods his head to respond Helen's information and doesn't say anything. He steps closer to where I am without bothering to look back at Helen. She knows better than to wait for any response and just continue walking out and closes the door behind her. Leaving me and William in the master bedroom.   "I thought you'd take much longer."   "No, it's just business, Lou."   "Mikey just called you. I think he left you some texts since you missed his call."   "Mikey?" William checks his phone and reads the texts quietly.   "What does he want?" I dare myself asking.   "He suggested me to dump you and be with him instead." William snorts at his own remarks. "Forget it, Lou. This is not important." He places the phone back on the table.   William then takes a sit on the edge of the bed facing me. Now that we're this close, I can read the letters that printed on the paper bag he carries. Cartier. Isn't it a jewelry brand? Not that I know anything about fashion, nor jewelry. I just happened to see its advertising in a magazine once. And why it is in my boyfriend's hands, I really don't want to ask. I mean, I don't want William to think that I'm the type of person who likes to stick my nose in other people's business.   William carefully takes out a red velvety box from the paper bag. The word Cartier is also printed on the top side of that box. So, I'm guessing that's a jewelry box. William hands me the box and asks me to open it.   "Open, Lou. It's for you."   I admit that I'm a bit surprised by that. "What's this, William?"   "Open, Baby."   I obediently do what he tells me to. I slowly open the velvet box to find a pair of tricolor rings that are tied with black thread. The ring colors consist of yellow gold, rose gold and white gold. I'm not really sure what those are, so I lift my face and stare at my boyfriend in askance. Reading at the confusion in my eyes, he holds out his hand to take one of the rings that comes with a longer thread.   "I should've given you this earlier, Lou. So that you didn't have to wear that old bird for too long."   He helps me to wear that thing around my neck. So, it's apparently a necklace, with a ring as the pendant. Perhaps he's planning to replace Ethan's bird necklace with it. He then proceeds to take the other one from the box. This is the same ring, but comes with a shorter black thread. It's a bracelet. I know it because William is currently helping me to wear it on my left wrist.   "There are 156 diamonds on each ring and I want you to wear them every day."   What? Is he joking?   "Uh... I don't think I can accept these, William." Does he seriously ask me to wear such luxurious items to school?   I swear I can see warmth starting to leave his facial expression. "You don't want to accept MY gift?" He repeats my response using his own word arrangement and interpretation, making sure to put more pressure on the word 'my'.   "Not like that. It's just... They must be very expensive, right? They're too much." I never wore something so precious before. I think it makes sense if I feel worried that I would be too reckless in keeping them. "And you don't have to feel obligated to replace my old necklace. I'm fine with wearing no accessories."   "I don't feel obligated, Lou. I like buying you gifts because I want my boyfriend to stop accepting things from other guy." He explains in a way that emphasizes I'm getting too many gifts from too many guys while in reality it's the exact opposite. "I ordered these items since the first time I saw your necklace. But the jewellers needed some time to change all the diamonds with the best ones to accommodate my request."   "But, William... Why can't you just buy something cheap and regular? Valuable items don't really suit me."   His expression turns even colder by a few degrees all of a sudden. "Really? So now you know better than I do regarding things that suit you?"   Realizing my mistake for being such a smart mouth, I quickly apologize. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way."   "You don't like the design, do you?" He tries guessing another possibility behind my motive of declining his gift.   "No, to be honest, I really love it. They're absolutely gorgeous, William." It's not the design, seriously. I just think that this kind of gift is rather too extravagant for a high school student.   "If you love them, then act like it." He speaks with a tad bit frustration. "You're mine, Lou. And what's mine is never be something petty, simple or insignificant. If I want you to wear a thousand diamonds to school every day, you will do just exactly that."   "But William, I'm afraid I might lose them." I try my last attempt to make him reconsider his demand.   "I don't care, as long as I don't lose you. You're much more precious than any jewels or gold, Lou." His eyes are straight pointed into mine. I can feel butterflies start fluttering in my stomach as his answer is beginning to sink inside my head. "So, unless you prefer to accept gifts from other guys, I expect you to quit complaining and just do what I say."   I take a few seconds to examine his expression. It seems like there's nothing I can say that will make him change his mind right now. That's why I finally respond him with a light nod. "Alright. I'm sorry for the argument. It's just... No one ever gave me anything like these before. Thank you, William." I offer him a small gratitude smile.   His previous cold expression is melting away. He smiles gently at me while putting the maroon box and the paper bag on the night stand. "It's alright, I understand, Baby." He shifts closer and kiss me on the lips. "Just remember to never say no to me again. You know I will never put you in any harm, right?"   I nod. "Yes, sure I do."   "Can you move a bit, Lou? I want to sit beside you."   I shift my body aside to give William space to sit. He takes my phone from the night stand and unlocks it.   "Let's take a photo together. Later you can set it as profile picture for all of your social media accounts." That doesn't sound like a suggestion at all, I know. But I don't mind it, I understand why he does that. William has been extremely territorial this whole afternoon. Perhaps he's still freaking out or maybe feeling a bit threatened by the thought of me liking Ethan. "People should know that you belong to me, Baby." ***
