They were certainly impressive and when they were lit they made the whole Chapel seem to vibrate as if it had come alive. There was no one else there except the two brides and bridegrooms and the Vicar with two Servers wearing beautifully embroidered robes, which had also been handed down for four or five generations. The Vicar read the Marriage Service very sincerely. Colena was sure when they knelt for the Blessing that the Heavens above them opened. The Blessing came not only from God but from the angels who surrounded Him. She believed that hers and Elizabeth’s prayers had been heard.
