"I will be back soon, tesoro." I said to her as she leaned her face into my hand even more, eyes gently closing and opening again to look into mine.
"Do you think this is going to work? I think I should go along with you. Perhaps she will listen better if I am with you." She tried again, her eyes trying to convince me.
"No, love..." I moved my hand from her cheek and patted her head gently. We were standing by my car with Caily still trying hard to convince me to take her along like she had been doing for the past two days since I told her I was going to go see her Aunt Mandy and get the blessings from her.
"I will see her alone. I won't love it if she yells at you or scolds you harshly in front of me. It would be better if she sees me alone."
