Azazel sighed then placed his hand beneath my chin. “Maricel, for one thing you’re drunk, but I lied because I was afraid if you knew I was the infamous Azazel, you’d want nothing to do with me. I didn’t want to lose you.” “You know, you could’ve told me. I overlooked the fact you were trapped in Dudael. Just promise, you will never lie to me again.” I gazed into his eyes, which were now a dandelion shade. “I’ll never deceive you again, Maricel.” He gathered me into his arms. The table clapped, and he led me back to my seat, pulled out the chair for me and then assumed his place. As we ate, the conversation remained much lighter than before.
