Chapter 36

“Give me all you got, sister,” she said. I struck at her and she blocked it. Swash! Our swords clashed as we pushed each other back. She slid beneath my sword as it grazed her hairline and she came up from behind, wrapped her arms around my neck, and held her sword to it. “Any last words before I slit your throat and rid this Earth of the plague you are?” “My days aren’t numbered, but yours are,” I said, then turned, doing a backflip over her head, I kicked the center of her back and cracked it. Her sword slid away, and she flinched in dread as she reached for it, but it was too far from her grasp, and her eyes widened with fear. “All this time I thought you had a heart? Isn’t that a trait all heroines have?” she said. I stepped on her shattered back, and removed the crown from her head.
