* * * The agonizing sensation came to an end. I stood among soldiers marching into battle. “Get down!” Azazel pushed me down into a ditch with him. I peeked up from the trench, watching tanks remote controlled by the giants roll into battle. Drones flew overhead, dropping bombs on cities. A red mushroom cloud lingered in the air from a previous explosion. The ground shook from the impact of the bombs dropped, cratering Earth’s surface.
