CHAPTER 4 ENAMORED SEPTEMBER WAS ABOUT OVER, WITH FOUR REMAINING DAYS. Golden streaks of sunlight spilled in from the windows, casting a soft orange glow on my eyelids as they peeled wide open to the brilliant rays that illuminated the ivory bedpost.
