World War III

"Uhm... Something weird also happened while I was getting out of the place", Joe said, thinking deeply. "Uhm... I knocked all of them out with the knife and, well, I thought I knocked 'all of them' out. There was this one I didn't notice earlier. I was getting out with Toby on my shoulder and this one appeared in my front and ran at me. At first, it seemed like he was going to attack. It was so sudden for me so I couldn't dodge. Weirdly, I didn't feel a thing and he didn't stop in front of me. He seemed to have ran through my body."       "And he came out at your back?", Toby asked.       "I'm not sure. I don't think he did"     "He wouldn't", another old ghost, amidst them, said. "He used you as a door".       "A door?"     The old man, who was standing, came closer and sat beside Joe. "There's a question you forgot to ask about the daywalkers on the Other Side of Day."      Joe smiled. "Why would they choose such a horrible place to stay?"      "I knew you would ask", the old man replied. "It's because they have an advantage. Unlike the daywalkers who choose Daylight, those on the Other Side have the chance to go back to the real world. Once there's a new dead person, they have the chance to take over the body before the dead soul gets to the ghost world. Unfortunately, the dead person takes the place of the dark ghost. They can also possess living bodies but it can only be temporary".     "Where's the explanation going?"     "The one that walked into you has sensed the death of someone".      "Same way I sensed Stanley's", Toby added and the old man continued.    "There are multiple deaths around the world but they can only choose bodies from their previous environment. They also choose bodies that help them to accomplish certain missions.... He used your body as a door, immediately he sensed the death of a perfect body for his mission".     "So he's literally not inside me now?", Joe asked.      "He isn't but don't be relieved. There's a dark ghost out there who needs to be killed again".      "What's the worst that could happen with him out there?", Joe inquired, indifferently.      "Choosing the Other Side of Day naturally corrupts a nature. You shouldn't expect him to lay low. He'll cause pain, out there".      "There's also this one who can no longer live in the real world again", a woman added.      Toby nodded. "Yea... that's the one sitting on the throne".      "Really? the scary one that looks like a demon? He was the one who showed me the vision"      "What vision?", Toby asked as Joe got everyone's attention. They needed to know the vision since the godmode was no longer talking".      "It's a pretty long story", Joe said. "And a disappointing one, too... First, why can't he live again?"      "Because he has taken bodies, too many times", the old man said. "Entry into the Other Side of Day has a limit. When you die good, you have a choice between Daylight and the Other Side. Those in the Other Side, that get to live again, have no choice after the second death since the Other Side already turned them dark. Every other chance they get to live and die, it leads them to the Other Side till they get too dark to live in the real world".      "He showed me something about the real world and everything... why the godmode can't say anything. Why the godmode can't even see anything... Because you can't see something that's not there."   ★★★                   ★★★                    ★★★    "Hello, guys", Kenny addressed them. "You can sit. My presence here is not official"     "Hmm... he looks innocent", one of the captives commented on the soldier's facial expression.     "There's a lot of crazy things happening outside Nigeria, presently", he began his speech. "I believe many of you already know about the ongoing world war."     "May I ask how it started?", one of the girls asked. Kenny smiled.     "You're free to ask every question in your minds. I'm here as a friend... There was a clash between the United States and Russia. Some sort of conspiracy and disagreement which is still unclear to many of us. It turns out that an attack was mistakenly launched against Russia and Russia is about to retaliate with a greater weapon... The weapon is said to still be in it's final stages of creation. Apparently, whatever is needed to finalize the creation of this weapon is not with them. According to American scientists, the weapon in creation is too dangerous to be launched anywhere in the planet.      "The Russians should know what they are creating and what they hope to achieve, right?", the girl asked.    Chuma and Alex looked at her, at the same time. "She's really comfortable", Alex said.     "she's fearless. Probably trusts him", Chuma replied.     "If the American scientists are sure of their claims then, apparently, the Russians don't know what they are trying to do... While one part of the world is weirdly in support of the Russians, another part is fighting against Russia to stop the creation of the weapon. Some other countries have joined the war because of the damages they have suffered in the clash."      "What if the claims of these American scientists are not true and they just want to get other countries on their side?", the girl asked, again.      Kenny smiled. "That's a wise thought. If it's true, then the Americans have succeeded. What's your name?"      "Lotanna"      "Cool. I'll call you Tanna", Kenny replied and continued. "I'm not happy with you guys, being here. I need you all to know that I am not in support of this lunacy"    "Then why are you keeping us here?", Alex summoned courage and asked.     "I am not in charge. it's one of two things; I follow the instructions or I die trying to do good but failing... Time will pass and the leaders will grow tired. They'll realize that capturing people wasn't a wise decision to make...  There are still countries who support Russia out there and we don't know why but let's hope the idea of an apocalypse was a fantasy... While hoping, live the best of your life everywhere. The bomb may truly end the world. I'll be friends with all of you, now."    "Nice to be friends with you", Chuma said in a carefree tone but he was totally amazed in his mind.    "In case you haven't tried it, play hide-and-seek, today. Tomorrow may no longer exist"    ★★★                  ★★★                 ★★★    "What do you mean by that?", Toby asked, perplexed.     "'we can't see something that's not there'. What are you insinuating?", Stanley also asked.     "There's no future anymore, ok?"     "How's that possible?", the old man asked.    "There's a war going on and it won't end without taking the world with it".    "Neron told you this?"   "He placed an hand on my head and I saw things", Joe replied. "There's a Russian scientist working on a destructive weapon. He's making the wrong calculations with obdurate confidence so he will shun every advice against his idea, believing himself to be the smartest and the only one calculating correctly.... Unfortunately, it succeeded in discouraging my quest"    "That shouldn't stop you from helping your friends", the old man advised. "What if Neron showed you all he wanted you to see? Maybe he only wanted to discourage you".    "And what would he gain from doing so? I only imagine going through a lot of trouble to save the captives and then, the next second, everyone dies... Why isn't the godmode showing the apocalypse as the future? Why is it blank? The answer is simple; the future is here and tomorrow is over. The apocalypse is only a few meters away"
