The moment we arrived at the hall, I was swept into the bridal suite and immediately surrounded.
Hair stylists.
Makeup artists.
Dress attendants.
Photographers.
Videographers.
Everyone seemed to be moving at once.
Camera flashes lit the room as moments were captured from every angle. Laughter echoed off the walls. Perfume and hairspray filled the air while my bridesmaids rushed around helping one another with gowns, jewelry, and final touches.
Every few minutes, another coordinator appeared to ask a question.
Every few minutes, someone else congratulated me.
As they should. Today belonged to me.

For the briefest moment, my eyes drifted toward the window.
