Gabriel's POV
Derek escorted me through the hallway and stopped by a room, a familiar room by the way. Same one I had caught Bradley in.
"Yeah this would be your room," Derek said. He was leaning against the doorframe, wearing that stupid, effortless smile that made my stomach do backflips, and not the good kind at all.
I looked around and my heart sank immediately . "Isn't this your own room?"
"Yeah it is."
I froze. My pulse started thumping in my throat.
"Why would we be staying in your room?"
"To be safe," he said, and he sounded so damn reasonable it made me want to scream. He took a step toward me, closing the gap.
"You don't know who robbed your dorm, okay. What if it was a personal beef? Maybe you offended someone, beside with that annoying attitude of yours I doubt anyone likes you. My dad also told me to protect you, and I will do just that."
He didn't wait for me to argue. He just gave me this firm push, steering me further into the space. The door clicked shut behind us. The sound was like a cage door locking. I felt shaky, my head still spinning from the hospital meds and the sheer stress of the last hour.
I sat on the edge of the bed. Everything felt too soft, too expensive, too Derek coded. I reached up and reluctantly took off my glasses. My eyes were stinging, and the bridge of my nose ached.
"You look so beautiful without your glasses," Derek said. His voice was lower now. Closer.
"Well I can't see without them," I snapped. I felt exposed. Defenseless. Without the lenses, Derek was just a tall, tan blur of muscle and bad intentions.
"Okay four eyes."
I ignored the jab. I just wanted to clean the smudge off the glass so I could put them back on and at least see the threat coming. I was rubbing the lens with the hem of my shirt when......snatch.
My hands were empty.
"Give that back," I said, squinting. I could see the shape of him standing over me, but his face was a smear.
"No I won't."
"When will you stop acting like a kid?" I was so tired. Just so incredibly tired of him and his games.
He didn't laugh this time. His voice dropped an octave, turning sharp and dangerous. "Did you just call me a kid? I am three years older than you are."
"Okay act like one!" I yelled. I didn't care anymore. I just wanted my sight back. I wanted my life back, Derek was making my life worse than hell itself at this point.
The room went dead silent. For a second, I thought maybe I had actually gotten through to him. Then, I felt it. A hand, heavy and hot, sliding around my waist. He lunged forward, pulling me up flush against him. I tried to shove him off, but I was basically blind and he was like a mountain.
"Derek please stop," I gasped, my hands fumbling against the bare skin of his chest. "We are siblings already."
He didn't pull away. He leaned in, his mouth right against my ear. His breath was warm, but his words were like ice. "But you like it don't you?"
A shiver went down my spine, head to toe. I hated him. I hated everything he stood for. But my body was a traitor as usual. As he held me, I felt that weird, sickening heat spreading through my limbs. I was melting into him, and I hated myself for it. I was so angry I wanted to cry, but I couldn't even find the tears.
He started kissing my neck. Slow. Purposeful. Then his mouth moved to my shoulder, and I felt his fingers at my chest, fumbling with the buttons of my shirt. One popped open. Then another.
"If you don't stop this and give me back my glasses I will tell your dad," I managed to say. It was the only weapon I had left. A weak one maybe, but I used it.
Derek stopped. He didn't pull back, though. He just pressed his lips right against the shell of my ear and whispered, "Well if you are gonna tell him, please tell him I f****d you so hard you started pleading for my mercy."
I froze.
The air left the room. I couldn't move. I couldn't even blink. He had me. He had me in a way that had nothing to do with how strong his arms were. He knew that if I went to Mr. Miller, he would just turn it around. He would make me look like the liar. The one who wanted it. The one who seduced the golden son and I knew damn well my mum wouldn't even support me.
I stayed there, pinned against his chest in the blur of the room, realizing I wasn't just staying in his house. I was disappearing into it. I needed to find a way to get rid of Derek from my life, before we both commit a huge sin against God because at that point I was at the verge of losing my sanity and falling for this temptation.
